Since 2001, we have provided acute crisis stabilization and outpatient services to the Las Vegas community and beyond.

Physicians are on the medical staff of Spring Mountain Treatment Center, An extension of Spring Valley Hospital, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Spring Mountain Treatment Center. Last week, our Director of Outpatient Services, Adam Parker, had the opportunity to speak with a wonderful group at the Sun City Aliante Community Center. His presentation focused on the importance of connecting with others, building meaningful relationships and staying engaged.

Julie had the opportunity to visit Healing Hooves and speak with Kim Smith to learn more about the individual and group sessions they provide.

Healing Hooves offers a unique approach through equine-facilitated therapy, where clients work alongside horses in ground-based activities designed to explore areas such as trust, communication, boundaries, confidence, and emotional awareness. Julie even had the chance to meet two of their horses, Thor and Spot! 🐴💚

Their services provide clients with an opportunity to work toward therapeutic goals outside of a traditional office setting.

Thank you, Kim, for taking the time to share more about Healing Hooves and the meaningful services you provide to the Las Vegas community. We’re grateful to continue building connections with community partners and learning about resources available to those we serve.
