Team Big Reedy No More

Team Big Reedy No More This page will document the journey Team Big Reedy No More is taking to achieve our total fitness goals! I am an athlete, period.

I got sick of telling people I 'used' to be an athlete. I have always been an athlete and ALWAYS will be an athlete, even if at times over the past 15 years I have forgotten this. -Chris Reedy

Strong, athletic, intelligent, inspiring! These words describe my brother. I have been with him through the ups and downs of his struggle. Besides our mother, there is no bigger fan or supporter of Chris th

an I. The motivation I get from knowing he is sweating, struggling, pushing his body to extremes helps me get through my toughest workouts! We are athletes.
- Corey Reedy

Team Big Reedy No More is a group of extraordinary friends and family who have all come together to support me on the journey to achieve my weight loss goals. This has not been easy over the last few years. As with many others I struggle with the day to day grind of trying to live a healthy lifestyle. I have slipped, I have fallen, but as the saying goes the definition of success is getting up one more time than you have been knocked down. With the support of Team Big Reedy No More I will overcome all obstacles that are in my way. - Chris

Please follow along on our journey. We are creating this page to allow others to share in our experiences. If our journey can inspire or motivate one person we have succeeded. - Chris and Corey

Ummm, is this thing on?
Man it has been a minute since a post. Not going to make a long one today just saying we are still here. Big and I mean big things are happening. I’m on my own weight loss journey. New relationship and retirement has added a few pounds. Basically, I picked up a few that Chris has dropped. Feels like I’m starting from scratch. I’ll try to be a little more active on here as the journey progresses! Love you all.

Sometimes it is very frustrating that time waits for no man or woman. We all get the same 24hrs in the day, it really boils down to what you do with them. Maybe I have been thinking more about time lately cause on average I am now at the middle of my expected life expectancy. I have realized that I get the exact same amount of time in the day as Rich Froning, Mat Fraser, and Ben Smith. It's really what I choose to do with that time that defines me. I could sit around and worry about this bill, or that bill, about the election, or just about a million other things that effects us all on a daily basis. I don't choose to do that. I look forward to being positive, trying to make the world around me a better place for the kids and me. An hour is 4% of your day, what difference can you make in your life or someone else's in that hour? Just a thought. -Corey

My legs are toast! Sorry for those who have been viewing my vlogs, I haven't made a video in a few days. I'm exhausted, not from filming, just everything. Mid shift takes such a toll on me and my body the motivation to lift is a huge burden. Hoping to find a balance because I want the documentation of the journey. Hatch was tough today. Front squats weren't an issue, I had to break the back squats up in to manageable pieces. Last set being just 1 rep at a time. I made it though. This Metcon sucked. Fran in disguise. I was able to finish in 7:10! Splits weren't bad at all. Averaging about 1:30 per round. Glad it's over, now off to home and to bed. Always making it happen!

Day 16! Thanks for the push today Chris! It doesn't take much to be someone's motivation!

Day 15. A smile can change someone's day! 😊

Day 13. Meal prep. Chicken was good. Forgot to say it in the video. I needed more spice though. I'll go a little heavier next week.
