Congratulations to Rita G.,, RN, on our adult oncology unit, who was named Employee of the Year during Hospital Week festivities earlier this month! Rita is described as professional, compassionate and consistently able to tackle anything that comes her way with ease and grace.

During the presentation, our CEO, Rob Freymuller, shared one story in particular from a patient's daughter who wrote, "Our nurse was a godsend to my family; an angel sent to help guide my family through such difficult times."

Congratulations to Angelina I, Emergency department, who was one of two Employees of the Year honored during Hospital Week! Angelina, who recently passed her NCLEX nursing licensing exam, was celebrated for embodying the values of compassion, empathy, amazing teamwork and professionalism.

Her work ethic stands out every shift and her nominator joked they all need roller skates to keep up with her as she assisted patients! Each patient is treated with genuine kindness and respect and Angelina maintains a cool, calm, collected demeanor, providing a steadying presence within the busy department. Congratulations, Angelina - both on the award and passing your NCLEX!
