Of all the patient’s we have polled over the years, over 80% give up in frustration and just pay the bill. People have very strong feelings about healthcare although most of us don’t really understand how it works. This channel was made to help those of us who have questions, have been taken advantage of by the healthcare system, have lost insurance coverage or their doctors. Many of you have ended up paying for items you never should have and have no recourse when your insurance company denies your claims. We designed this to be a living, growing community of information for the average person, empowering you with the knowledge it takes to not just navigate the healthcare system but to ensure you receive the highest quality of care and pay the least amount out of your pocket. We are going to cover topics such as Insurance premium costs, out of pocket costs, copays, coinsurance, deductibles, bankruptcy and medical bills, and health savings accounts. We will explain all the various types of insurances such as Medicare, Medicaid, employer sponsored programs, HMO’s, PPO’s, EPO’s, secondary coverage, prescription costs and point of service plans. We will discuss what a doctors office can and can NOT collect from you and how you can educate and arm yourself with the right information.
