The countdown to the certification exam for the Horticultural Therapist–Board Certified (HT–BC) credential continues. The American Horticultural Therapy Association (AHTA) is pleased to have announced the launch of its first professional credentialing exam, scheduled to take place in October 2026!

Certificate vs. Certification 🌿

What’s the difference?

✅ A certificate is awarded after completing an educational program or training course.

✅ Certification is a formal professional credentialing process that includes:
• Education requirements
• Verified experience
• A comprehensive examination
• Ethical and professional standards

Important reminder: A certificate alone does NOT equal professional certification.
