🍦✨A Sweet Day out with our Team✨🍦

Our team had the opportunity to enjoy some well-deserved time together at the Museum of Ice Cream!

It was a great chance to connect outside of work, enjoy some delicious treats, explore the fun exhibits and make some memories along the way.

We spend our days talking about and caring for cats, and probably taking more pictures of cats than anything else, so naturally, a day surrounded by ice cream was the purr-fect change of scenery!😺🍦😂

🐱 Does your cat have asthma?

Feline asthma is a chronic respiratory disease caused by the narrowing of a cat’s airways, and is commonly triggered by smoke, dust, and scented air fresheners!

Cats can cough or wheeze, often in a hunched forward position. This can be mistaken for your kitty trying to pass up a hair ball!

While feline asthma is treatable, it’s important to note that preventative measures such as HEPA air filters, low dust litter and eliminating heavy perfumes can both help alleviate symptoms and help your kitty breathe easier! 😺

😺Feline G.I. Health Matters😺

A healthy digestive system play a huge role in your cat's overall health and well-being. Cats are experts at hiding when something doesn't feel right, so subtle changes can be easy to miss.

Keep an eye out for:
-Vomiting or frequent hairballs
-Diarrhea or Constipation
-Changes in appetite or weight
-Straining in the litter box
-Changes in stool appearance or frequency
-Hiding or acting less energetic than usual

Even small changes in your cat's bathroom habits can be worth paying attention to. Early detection can make a big difference when it comes to gastrointestinal problems.

Did you Know cats can have high blood pressure too?

Feline hypertension (high blood pressure) is often called a "silent disease" because many cats don't show obvious signs until serious damage has already occurred. Left untreated, it can affect the eyes, kidney's, heart, and even the brain, sometimes leading to sudden vision loss or other life-threatening complications.

Senior cats and cats with conditions such as kidney disease or hyperthyroidism are at a higher risk, which is why routine blood pressure checks can be an important part of you cat's preventive care.
