Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat joint problems.

During the procedure, a small camera called an arthroscope is inserted into the joint through tiny incisions, allowing the surgeon to see inside the joint in real time.

Arthroscopy is commonly used for:
✔️ Meniscus tears
✔️ ACL injuries
✔️ Rotator cuff tears
✔️ Cartilage damage
✔️ Joint inflammation

Because the incisions are smaller, arthroscopy often means less pain and a faster recovery compared to traditional open surgery.
It’s commonly performed on the knee, shoulder, ankle, and other joints.

The meniscus is a piece of cartilage in the knee that helps cushion and stabilize the joint. A meniscus tear is one of the most common knee injuries.

It can happen suddenly from twisting or pivoting — or gradually over time from wear and tear.

Common symptoms may include:
✔️ Knee pain
✔️ Swelling
✔️ Stiffness
✔️ Catching or locking sensations
✔️ Difficulty bending the knee

Treatment depends on the severity of the tear and may include rest, physical therapy, or sometimes surgery.

Persistent knee pain shouldn’t be ignored — getting the right diagnosis is important.

🦵 Am I Too Young or Too Old for Knee Replacement?

This is one of the most common questions we hear — and the answer might surprise you.

Knee replacement isn’t based on age. It’s based on how your knee is affecting your life.

You may be a candidate if you’re experiencing:
✔️ Ongoing pain that limits daily activities
✔️ Difficulty walking, standing, or using stairs
✔️ Pain that interferes with sleep
✔️ Little relief from other treatments

Some people in their 40s need it. Others wait until their 70s or beyond. The key factor is function — not a number.
If knee pain is holding you back, it may be time to explore your options.
