Motherhood changes more than your schedule—it changes the way you see life.

Your boundaries become stronger. Your friendships evolve. Your time becomes sacred, and your priorities become clearer.

You stop giving your energy to things that drain you and start choosing what truly matters. You become more intentional with your time, your relationships, and your heart.

Motherhood didn’t just change me. It changed the way I choose to live. 💜

Sometimes I complain about the mental, physical, and emotional weight that comes with working a full-time, demanding job while raising two little ones.

And honestly, some days I’m just exhausted. Overstimulated. Frustrated. Wondering how I’m supposed to keep up with everything.

But then I remind myself…

I’m literally living the life I prayed for.

I prayed to be a mom. I prayed for happy, healthy babies. I prayed to raise them, be present for them, teach them things, experience life with them, and create the kind of memories I always dreamed about.

And now I get to do it.

I get to watch them grow. I get to take them places and introduce them to the world. I get to teach them about nature, health, spirituality, freedom, and living intentionally.

I get to raise them differently. To show them that they don’t have to follow society. That they can create a life that feels meaningful and aligned with who they are.

Is it exhausting? Absolutely.

Can I be overwhelmed and still incredibly grateful? Also absolutely.

I’m learning that I can be tired of the responsibilities without being ungrateful for the life.

Because one day, I know I’m going to look back and wish I could have these ordinary days back.

The messy days.
The loud days.
The exhausting days.
The days where I felt like I was barely keeping it together.

Because those were also the days I was raising my girls.

And maybe that’s the reminder I need sometimes:

This life may not always be easy, but it is the life I once prayed for.

And damn… what a blessing that is.💜

Yesterday, we decided to go camping on a whim. Spontaneous trips have been a thing for us lately, and honestly, they’ve been just what we needed.

I wanted to call the trip off numerous times simply because it felt like too much work and the weather was off putting. But then I realized that, despite the discomfort and the extra work, we’re creating loving experiences as a family—and that’s a blessing.

We can sit there and say, “One day,” but one day won’t come until you actually act on it. Sometimes “one day” turns into never, and I don’t want to live my life thinking, I should have, I would have, I could have.

So instead, we packed the car, packed the kids, and hit the road.

Another day. Another adventure. Another experience for our babies to learn from, grow from, and remember for the rest of their lives.

I’m being more intentional about taking time for me, reconnecting with myself, and doing things I love. You can get lost in motherhood and life if you don’t pause to remember that you’re a person, with needs and interests, too.

So that’s what I’m being more intentional about getting back to me, little by little, and remembering that I matter, too.

My girls are thriving. I give my all to them, and honestly, it’s okay. But in order to fill their cups, I have to fill mine. And that’s exactly what this Disney day did for me. ✨🏰

Friendship is taking a girls trip to Disneyland. 🎃✨

Lately, I found myself asking, “Who was I before the kids?”

And two things immediately came to mind: nature and Disney.

So when we suggested a girls’ trip to Disneyland, we booked the flights—and the rest is history.

One day filled with new friendships, endless laughter, shopping, good food, and Mickey Mouse during spooky season. 👻🎃

It was more than just a day at Disneyland. It was a reminder of the parts of myself that sometimes get lost in motherhood.

Sometimes we need to step away from the routines and responsibilities, spend time with women who make us laugh, and reconnect with the girl we were before we became moms.

My inner child is very happy. 🥹

Here’s to friendship, new memories, and making space for ourselves along the way. 🖤🏰

Hello everyone,

Last week, my cousins went through something unimaginable. My cousin Manny suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital for emergency triple bypass surgery.

While he was in the hospital, his mother-in-law passed away from cancer. Zaira Ramirez is now facing the unimaginable grief of losing her mother while also supporting her husband through his recovery from a heart attack.

As you can imagine, funeral expenses and hospital bills are now piling up. Manny won’t be able to work until he makes a full recovery, while Zaira is also trying to manage their household expenses during this incredibly difficult time.

If you’re able to help by donating or simply sharing their story, we would greatly appreciate it

My name is Maria, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of m… Maria Huizar needs your support for Manny’s recovery and Zaira’s Mother’s funeral expenses

Travel series #3

Surprisingly, I take more pride in living out of a backpack to see the world, than being a homeowner 🤣

I remember the exact moment I decided we were going to travel the world. It was during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. We met people who were already traveling, and telling us how amazing it was. So the lightbulb came on,” why not us”

3 years later, with just a backpack and a one way ticket, we boarded a plane, to the world.

I look back on it, because now I want to share those experiences with my beautiful girls. And honestly, life is too fragile to not live the life you dream of. In the last month we’ve had deaths in the family, sudden life threatening illnesses, and just so many other things that makes you realize how fragile life is , and make you question- if you’re living the life you desire.

You’ll never be as young as you are today.
