The True "Gift" of Orthopedics
As we wrap up the year, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible milestones my patients have achieved. I recently received a note from J.C., who is now 5 and 6 years post-surgery on his knees.

At 73, he isn’t just staying active—he’s living life to the absolute fullest. This year alone, his "new" knees took him through Patagonia, Machu Picchu, and the Amazon.

J.C. wrote:

"I try not to waste a day, and am thankful every day for what you gave me… the ability to be ‘me’. Priceless."

Hearing that a patient has the freedom to travel to remote destinations and push their limits is exactly why I do what I do. It’s not just about the surgery; it’s about giving someone the tools to reclaim their identity.

Thank you, J.C., for sharing your journey with me. Here’s to many more miles in the year ahead!
