At any given moment, there is a very good chance you’ll find a slightly ridiculous pile of cardboard somewhere in our house waiting for its next life. 😅

A box has been a baby seat. A car. A fort. A high rise apartment (complete with stuffed animal tenants!) And apparently, if you save enough of them, an entire city.

Recently, the boxes became a whole little world — shops, homes, animals, roads… and, much to my delight, a tiny Yoga Love with Lisa studio. 🥹

I love the whimsy of childhood. The way something completely ordinary can become anything with a little imagination.

Maybe that’s something worth holding onto as grown-ups, too. ✨

Also, apparently my studio expansion plans are moving along nicely. 😂🧘‍♀️

This summer, yoga rarely happened in a studio.

It happened in little pockets of time wherever I could find them—beneath the mountains in Denali, beside the water in Marquette, on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Sometimes peaceful. Sometimes with kids wandering into the frame. Sometimes with a dog enthusiastically digging a hole beside my mat. 😂

No perfect setup. No uninterrupted hour. Just a few minutes here and there to move, breathe and come back to myself.

Maybe that’s the practice, too—not waiting for life to get quiet, but learning how to find a little stillness right in the middle of it.

Today’s little reminder that wellness doesn’t always have to look like a yoga mat.

Sometimes it looks like sunshine through the trees, water in the distance, and a really good local kombucha. 🌿

Tried this Hummingbird Nectar from Bailey’s Farms today and it felt like exactly the kind of small moment I want more of—something delicious, local and enjoyed slowly.

I will deeply miss Apple Blossom Kombucha Co. on tap at LFA Mason (RIP to both businesses 😢). But I am grateful Apple Blossom Kombucha Co. set me up for scoby success. First batch of kombucha was a huge success.
We patiently waited for the second ferment to finish and today we enjoyed our homemade grape/blueberry flavor with bay views. 😍
