Yep I do!!!! How did we get here? 2 high schoolers and a kindergartener! My babies are growing up my mom heart is not okay. Many of my doula babies have started school. My oldest doula baby is 8 years old! If yours started school today I would love to see their first day pics!!!!!!!

I love surprises!!!!!! ……..I absolutely loved supporting this family as they prepared to welcome their first baby into the world. What’s even more exciting is this baby’s gender was a surprise! We waited and waited for baby to make an entrance. Baby was overdue to the point that an induction was being planned by the provider. This momma trusted her body and her intuition and her baby! Sitting at 4cms dilated for week…. She also trusted her doula (🙋🏽‍♀️). I told her to do the miles circuit and just as I suspected baby just needed a little help getting into position. Her water broke, 3 hours later I was on my way to her, 1.5 hours later we welcomed a beautiful baby! It was a very fast birth for a first time mom. I’m in awe of your beauty and your power! Congratulations to this beautiful family. So did we welcome a little girl? Or boy? Leave your guesses on the comments and I’ll reveal baby’s gender!!!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing mothers that I get to support. All I ever wanted was to have a family and be a mommy and I am so grateful that God lead me to find my passion, supporting women as they grow their families. I get to witness the very moment that they enter motherhood. I love each and every one of you and I get to have a front row seat in your journey. I love mothering the mother. My client is very adamant and firm in her birthing decisions. No induction, no interventions, just letting birth happen naturally. She knows she has options and I’m supporting her in helping her advocate for her birth desires. She’s not being combative or rude just firm in her decisions. She’s a woman of color so it’s very important that she speaks up so that she can leave the hospital alive. Did you know woman of color in Nevada are 3x more likely to die of a pregnancy related cause.

Living a life on call comes with sacrifices and adjustments to my schedule. But I love this doula life and I chose to be here. I have to always be ready to leave and be at my client’s side. So I unfortunately couldn’t buy a ticket to the Bruno Mars concert. Lucky for me I get the up close and personal experience with my toddler singing in the shower 😂. I love what I doula and I love being a mom. I wouldn’t have it any other way! Still waiting on baby #3 of April to arrive.

You aren’t seeing double! Yes they are twins! Happy birthday to the sweetest duo. Can’t believe it’s been a year since their arrival. I’ve had the pleasure of watching and also be an active participant in the first year of their lives. Even though they recently moved away, I was able to sing happy birthday via FaceTime today. Happy 1st birthday Emmett and Owen! May God continue to bless you and keep you. Your doula loves you!

My life as a birth doula! I love what I doula. I started the month of April in call for 3 families. Baby 2 has finally arrived (Friday night at 7:59pm). I had the honor of supporting a repeat client. The birth took longer than we expected but baby has arrived safely and healthy, none the less. Welcome to the world baby girl.
