Pain deserves attention. It doesn't deserve a fear-based explanation.

In this clip, Zaki challenges jumping from ‘this hurts’ to ‘my body is broken.’ He also makes clear that getting assessed matters when you don't understand what's happening.

Ask what your symptoms mean in your situation, which movements are appropriate, and what the plan is.

A useful conversation should leave you better informed about your body and your next step.

You showed up. You did the exercises. You're still nowhere near the goal.

That frustration deserves to be heard. Before you write off physical therapy entirely, look at the care you received: did you understand the assessment, the plan, and how it was supposed to progress?

A disappointing experience is a reason to ask better questions next time.

Save this if you're considering giving PT another chance.

‘Just rest’ leaves a pretty big question unanswered: then what?

Zaki gives that standalone advice a 0/10. He makes room for rest within a plan, but challenges sending someone away without explaining the path back to their activity.

If you've been told to take a break, ask what the break is for, what happens next, and how your return will be guided.

You deserve a plan for the comeback, too.

When you coach people to move for a living, feeling unsure on your own feet hits differently.

Brian came in feeling unstable and off balance. Two weeks into his care, he describes walking more steadily, feeling better, and having less pain.

Progress doesn't always look like a new personal record. Sometimes it looks like trusting your next step.

What everyday movement would you love to feel more confident doing?

‘Custom’ is a description. It isn't proof that something is right for you.

Zaki gives custom orthotics a 1/10 in this breakdown and challenges the idea that a pressure scan explains everything about how your foot moves.

Before buying a solution, ask what problem it's meant to address, what alternatives exist, and how you'll know it's helping.

A convincing product pitch shouldn't replace a clear explanation of your care. Save this before your next purchase.

Before you blame your birthday, question the explanation.

‘I'm getting older’ can start to sound like a reason to stop asking what's possible. In this clip, Zaki challenges that assumption and asks us to look beyond age alone.

Your starting point, your goals, and the support you need deserve an individual conversation.

What have you stopped doing because someone said you were too old?

Rest settles things down, but the symptoms return when the usual workouts start again.

This reel looks at the difference between feeling better at rest and rebuilding the ability to handle what your sportor training asks of you.

Ready to rethink the rest-and-repeat cycle?

You put your sleeves on, warm up, and your squats feel better. It’s easy to think you’ve got it covered.

how they fit into your training matters.

If knee pain keeps showing up, you deserve to understand what’s going on and have a plan built around the lifts you want to keep doing.

Your sleeves can have a place in that plan. They shouldn’t have to be your entire strategy.

If you tried PT and did not get the results you hoped for, it makes sense to feel skeptical about trying again.

You invested your time, did the appointments, and still could not do the things you wanted to do. That experience deserves to be heard.

But it does not automatically mean you have run out of options. It may be worth reviewing what was tried, how
your progress was measured, and whether the plan matched your goals.

If your goal is getting back to lifting, running, or sport, ask how your treatment will prepare you for those specific demands.

Ask what progression looks like and what happens if you are not improving.

Optimize works with active adults and athletes, so those conversations are central to how we approach care.
We want to understand both your symptoms and the life you are trying to return to.

If you are looking for a different approach, tell us what you have already tried and what still feels missing.
