🎄 Some family memories stay with us for a lifetime.

Around Christmas 1982 or 1983, I visited the Kewanee, Illinois, home of Marjabelle Young Stewart, America's celebrated etiquette author and the wife of my first cousin, once removed.

I still remember the Christmas trees in every room, the beautifully arranged dinner table, and the signed copy of White Gloves and Party Manners she gave me.

Her books taught millions about graciousness. That Christmas, I experienced her hospitality firsthand. 🤎
