In honor of this summer marking year 11 since becoming a therapist, I felt it was finally time for some new headshots. Hi to anyone who follows. I’m Erica, I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist in Las Vegas, NV. I work full time in virtual private practice with individuals, couples and families. Becoming a therapist was one of the longer journeys I’ve gone on in my life and it’s certainly been one of the most meaningful. My work with people is a significant part of who I am as a person, it’s truly a privilege and honor to get invited into some of the most private and intimate parts of people’s lives. I care deeply about my clients wellbeing and relationships & hope that my care and concern is felt long after our sessions are over. This year I became certified in compassionate bereavement care with the Miss foundation, this is close to heart for me as a person who’s lost a child myself. None of us get to choose some of the really difficult cards we are dealt, but we do get to chose our support team and therapist. I know what’s it’s like to be affected by trauma and can acknowledge the hurdles that come with the processing and moving through some things. I’ll always be an advocate for therapy because I believe we all deserve empathetic trauma informed care. I also go to therapy regularly myself and am always reflecting on how I can be more helpful to my community. When I’m not sitting with clients I’m with my sweet and sassy almost 4 year old, Aura and our golden retriever Summit. I spend as many waking moments as possible in nature, cycling and hiking. Writing and reading poems are also passions of mine. I’ve been known to tell some really cheesy dad jokes and have a pretty dark sense of humor you may catch in session, it’s not always that serious around here 😅 thanks for reading and thanks for being here. I believe the world would be a bit better if we all felt loved and supported and sometimes that’s through a therapist who sees the best in us. 🫶🏽❤️
