💡 When was the last time you let yourself sit with your feelings instead of distracting yourself from them?
Often, instead of letting ourselves feel our more stronger emotions, we have been taught to cope by distracting ourselves from them. Unfortunately this only bottles up said emotions and eventually they will have to be expressed, and usually they end up being expressed in a less than pleasant manner.
🧘🏻♀️ In order to really process these emotions, we have to start being comfortable in sitting with our stronger, more unpleasant emotions so that we can regulate them. There are many different methods to sit with your emotions including mediation and therapy!
