You’re not doing anything wrong. And your child isn’t behind or broken. Honestly, repeating words here and there? That’s pretty common. It’s just part of how kids figure things out when they’re learning to talk.

But if it starts to feel harder — like they’re getting stuck, frustrated, or pulling back a bit — it’s okay to ask questions. That’s parenting with love. 💛

Not sure when to seek help? This guide breaks it down in a way that’s clear, helpful, and judgment-free:

wasn’t originally a plan for me to be a speech language pathologist. Back as an undergrad at , I planned on being a physical therapist. After majoring in biology and taking several math and science classes, I realized it was not for me. I needed to find another career that I could enjoy and have a strong passion for. I knew I enjoyed working with children but wasn’t sure of the best career path to explore with them.

Today, I am a certified pediatric speech-language pathologist and founder of Nobles Speech Therapy, LLC. My mission is to help children gain the communication skills needed to reach their full potential.

If you’ve ever watched your child get stuck on a word… or stay quiet when they have so much to say… you’re not alone. It’s hard. It’s frustrating. And it’s okay to feel overwhelmed by it.

The good news is — there’s help. Speech therapy can give kids the tools they need to find their voice, build confidence, and connect with the people around them. And it starts with understanding what’s really going on.

Here's a parent-friendly guide to help you spot the signs and find the right support:

Every child learns to communicate in their own way — but if your little one struggles to understand what’s being said, it can feel overwhelming. 💛

Receptive language issues show up in different ways. Some kids have trouble following directions, answering simple “who” or “where” questions, or keeping up with stories. These are common signs to watch for.

The good news? Speech therapy can help build confidence, improve understanding, and make everyday conversations easier. 🌱
