"Winter can be a tricky time for car seats. Bulky clothing like winter coats and snowsuits may keep your little one warm outside, but they should not be worn underneath the harness of a car seat. In a car crash, thick padding immediately flattens, leaving harnesses loose. A child can then slip through the straps and be thrown from the seat. Use booties, mittens, and a blanket over the straps instead.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
