Cypress Counseling Company is honored to have partnered with Restoring the Broken and the Jones County Sheriff's Department in the development of the addiction recovery program at the Jones County Adult Detention Center. Congratulations to the first graduates who recently completed this life-changing course.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Brent Tank Gilbert and Restoring the Broken, Sheriff Joe Berlin and the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, and everyone who worked tirelessly to make this program possible. Their shared vision and commitment to helping individuals overcome addiction have created an opportunity for lasting transformation in the lives of these graduates.

Thank you to WDAM 7 for sharing the graduates’ stories and highlighting the positive impact this program is making in Jones County.

In just 12 weeks, seven men have figured out a new way of living. Jones County Adult Detention Center launched a new addiction program earlier this year. It teaches spiritual and clinical steps for keeping minds and bodies clean.

“It comes together to make it easier for us to comprehend and talk to people, because it’s hard to open up to people, and they make it way easier, and we appreciate them for that,” said Desmond McCoy, a graduate.

Recovery is possible, and we are honored to have been a part of helping make that journey a reality for the first graduates of the Jones County Adult Detention Center’s new addiction recovery program.

Cypress Counseling Company was proud to partner with Restoring the Broken (Brent Tank Gilbert) and the Jones County Sheriff's Department. Congratulations to each graduate on this significant accomplishment. Completing this program required commitment, courage, and a willingness to embrace change. While recovery is a lifelong journey, this milestone represents an important first step toward lasting transformation.

We would like to thank Sheriff Joe Berlin, the dedicated staff of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, and the team at Restoring the Broken for their vision, partnership, and commitment to serving others. Together, we are helping create opportunities for hope, healing, and restoration in our community.

Our family here at Cypress Counseling would like to welcome Courteney Johnson to our team! Courteney has been extremely patient with us as we worked through getting her in-network with all of the required insurance carries and getting her setup to see patients. However, she is now officially accepting new patients on Mondays and Friday. She has a compassion for helping others and a personality that makes everyone feel at home. She is accepting Medicare, Medicaid, United Healthcare, Aetna, Ambetter, Molina, Trucare, and others. The only one that we are currently holding on is Blue Cross Blue Shield and we hope that will be completed in the future. WE HAVE BEEN KEEPING A SECRET!!! Over the past few months, Cypress Counseling has been busy working on getting an office completed on the coast. It will officially open up next Monday at the Stennis Technology Center in Bay St. Louis, MS. We feel that this area is central so that people in rural areas of MS can have access to care as well. We will house two therapist and a nurse practitioner.
