Wow! The Winding Road has been ranked #1 Mental Health Service in Laurens by BusinessRate from Google Reviews! Thank you all so much for your support. We love Laurens and will continue to offer individual, family, and marital support as affordable as we can!

We will also keep providing psychoeducational support to the community by adding some additional times for classes such as: Anger Management
Positive Parenting
and SC CDV Intervention and Prevention!!
We recognize that some our 2nd and 3rd shift workers cannot make the evening classes, so we are adding class time in the mornings for those that need it!

Every Thursday:
CDV Intervention and Prevention for Men at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
CDV Prevention and Battered Women Prevention at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Anger Management at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Positive Parenting Program at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Hello to everyone from The Winding Road!! It's been a busy, productive day. Busy typing updates online, typing risk assessments, and do some scheduling, all while Archie and Birdie are napping, and with some favorite music playing in the next room.
We are busy making big plans- renovations at home, renovations to the office, and making some much wanted changes to our current services.
I'm taking a moment to personally share that after 33 years of being in a healing profession, I'm ready to focus on the services that I love the most, and that give me the most joy. That would be diagnostics and psycho-education. I will still see clients for individual and family therapy, but with a bigger focus on different types of assessments as well as teaching a variety of classes. I believe the teaching comes from my days at Laurens Mental Health working in the old clubhouse model, where we taught life skills everyday!
Please take note of my recent posts on our available classes, and share with those that may need these services.
I'm also game to expand anger management to a teen class! If I can get at least 3 interested, I could initiate the program for our community as well as neighboring counties.
For the rest of the year, I will be seeing our existing Medicaid clients but will not be accepting any new Medicaid clients.
So please send lots of good energy and love as we work to provide Laurens with impeccable services that are tailor made to serve the needs of our county, as well as our neighboring counties!!

Positive Parenting Program

State Approved Batterer's Intervention Classes for Men and Women
Dual Diagnosis for early recovery and relapse prevention

All Classes are Self Pay, we offer payment plans.
All Classes are 8 weeks except CDV classes (mandatory 26 weeks)
and Dual Diagnosis (12 weeks)

After some soul searching and re-evaluating our services,
The Winding Road is beginning a transition towards a self pay format. We do not accept Medicaid and Medicare at this time. We are in network with several Private Insurance and EAP plans. Our psycho-education classes and risk/competency assessments are self pay. Ask about our payment plans! We have affordable options.

We do provide emotional support animal letters. First, our therapist will complete a mental health assessment with you- in order to assess for the need for an emotional support pet.
The cost of an assessment is $150. The client will receive a letter after a determination is made. Other recommendations will also be provided, such as additional referrals and treatment options.

For clarification, we see children ages 5 and up. For younger children, we ask that the parent or guardian be involved in treatment to reinforce positive behavior changes at home.
