Hello, my lovelies! I hope you're all having a wonderful week.

One thing I've learned about owning a small business is that every week looks different. This week, we unexpectedly had a few appointments open up tomorrow and throughout the next few days.

Summer is usually a slower season, and with construction happening directly in front of and beside Willow & Sage, it has made things even more challenging. When people can't easily get to you, it impacts small businesses like ours.

Owning a small business means there are busy weeks and quieter weeks. This happens to be one of the quieter ones, and I would love to fill those openings with familiar faces and new clients. It allows us to continue growing, bring more wellness services to Lawrence, and support the amazing women who are part of our team.

Something I find fascinating about the human body is how connected everything truly is. Our nervous system affects our heart rate, breathing, digestion, hormones, immune system, sleep, and how our body responds to stress. When we spend too much time in a stress state, it can impact how we feel, move, and recover.

This is one reason massage is about so much more than just muscles. It supports the body’s ability to relax, recover, and restore balance.

I’m also so proud of my team. Whitney has been receiving wonderful feedback from clients who love her calming energy and the experience she creates. Carol brings over 30 years of experience in massage, yoga, and health coaching and is such a valuable part of Willow & Sage.

If you’re coming in this week, please avoid W. 25th Street. The easiest route is from Iowa Street around Savers and Planet Fitness since construction is directly in front of and beside us.
