There were so many moments in our lives when we learned to leave ourselves.
To abandon our needs to survive.
To keep the peace.
To fit in.
To be loved.
To make things easier for everyone else.
And somewhere along the way, we forgot that we are someone worth staying with.
The reminder I keep returning to:
My first loyalty belongs to me.
To my needs.
To my truth.
To the quiet knowing within me.
Not from a place of selfishness—
but from a place of wholeness.
Because when I stop abandoning myself,
I can meet the world without losing myself in it.
Today’s practice was an invitation to come back.
Back to the breath.
Back to the body.
Back to the quiet.
Back to the parts of ourselves we may have left behind.
A remembering.
A reclaiming.
A coming home.
And maybe healing isn’t becoming someone new.
Maybe it’s finally learning
to stop leaving yourself.
