🎉💙 What a way to celebrate Topeka! 💙🎉

We recently celebrated the opening of our Topeka clinic, and we had such an amazing time with our community!

We cannot thank everyone enough for coming out to celebrate with us and see our new clinic! From balloon art 🎈 and face painting Fabulous Faces Face Painting🎨 to the bubble house Lifted Events 🫧, resource table, and of course our very special guest… BLUEY! SA Entertainment KC💙🐾 It was an afternoon full of fun, smiles, and time spent with family and friends.

One of our favorite parts of the day was getting to meet so many families, show you around our space, and bring people together right here in the Topeka community. We hope everyone who joined us had just as much fun as we did!

And while the party may be over, our doors are open! 🧡 Aluma Care is here as a resource for families in the Topeka area. Last week, Aluma Care had a tee-rific time at the Autism Society of the Heartland’s Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser! ⛳️💙 We were proud to show our support as Bronze Sponsors and spend the day enjoying a great event for an even greater cause. It was so much fun connecting with members of our community out on the golf course!

We also had a team of our very own friends of the autism community representing Aluma Care, and they took home 1st PLACE! 🏆🎉 Congratulations to the Aluma Care golf team! We are so proud of you!

A huge thank you to the Autism Society of the Heartland for putting together such a wonderful event. We had an absolute blast and are already looking forward to next year! 💙

🌟 BCBA SPOTLIGHT: Arieanna Alvarado 🌟

We’re so excited to shine a spotlight on one of the amazing BCBAs on the Aluma Care team, Arieanna Alvarado! 💙

Arie has been working in the field of ABA since 2018. Before becoming a BCBA in January 2025, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and became an Autism Specialist in 2021. Her experience has primarily focused on providing services in home and community-based settings.

Her passion for working with individuals with disabilities began as a camp counselor at Camp Wilton in Wilton, NY, a summer camp for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. That experience made a lasting impact on Arie and helped shape her career in the field.

Arie earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas and her master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Saint Mary. She later completed a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis through the Florida Institute of Technology to complete the coursework required for BCBA certification.

We are so grateful to have clinicians like Arie on our team who bring experience, education, and genuine passion to the work they do every day. We truly have the best staff at Aluma Care! 💙

🌟 We’ve had so much fun getting out into the community lately! 🌟

A couple of weeks ago, Aluma Care attended KU’s Part-Time Career Fair, and yesterday we had the opportunity to be at Positive Bright Start’s Community Festival! 💙

It has been so much fun meeting others in our community, connecting with local families, seeing some of our Aluma Care families, and sharing more about who we are and what we do!
