September is Su***de Prevention Month. Remember to be kind. We are in an enormous deficit of kindness and compassion on our planet.
There has been progress in quality and accessibility to mental healthcare, but we still have so far to go.
September is Su***de Prevention Month, and you’re invited to join us in making a difference—one small action at a time.
Throughout the month, follow along with our Su***de Prevention Month Calendar and complete a simple daily activity focused on connection, kindness, self-care, hope, and helping others. Some days may encourage you to check in with someone you haven’t heard from lately, learn more about su***de prevention, practice gratitude, support a local organization, or simply take a little time to care for yourself.
You don’t have to do every activity. Pick the ones that speak to you, invite your family, friends, coworkers, or organization to participate, and help us fill St. Francois County with small moments of connection throughout September.
Participating? Share it with us! Post a photo, tell us which activity you completed, or share the calendar with someone else and encourage them to join you.
Because su***de prevention isn’t only about responding to a crisis. It’s also about building connection, creating belonging, sharing resources, and reminding people that they matter.
Small actions today can create hope for tomorrow. 💜🩵
