After 25+ years caring for hearts in Gwinnett County, I’m proud to share that ACG Heart & Vascular is now ready to be open in the next few days.
Our legal name is Amma Cardiovascular Centers of Georgia. “Amma” means mother in Telugu — this practice is named for mine. That name is a promise about how every person who walks through our doors will be treated.
Our focus is prevention. Too much of cardiology happens after the damage is done — after the heart attack, after the stent. I want to move that line earlier. Blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, family history, the risk you carry and don’t yet know about: that’s where the real victories are. The best cardiology visit is the one that keeps you out of the cath lab entirely.
I maintain privileges at Northside and Piedmont Eastside — the hospitals this community knows and trusts. If you ever need care beyond the office, that connection means I can help make sure you get where you need to go, with the right team, without delay.

To my son Dr. Nikhil Gangasani, finishing his Internal Medicine residency and headed toward cardiology — with the hope that he’ll be practicing alongside me in a few years.
To Suma, who graduated from Georgia Tech ready to be an engineer, then followed an inner calling somewhere else entirely and started at the Medical College of Georgia this year. It takes courage to change course. I couldn’t be prouder.
And to my daughter-in-law Manaswini (Minni), an attorney, always ready to help.
