Important Update Regarding After-Hours Calls
At All About Kids Pediatrics, we are always looking for ways to provide the highest quality care for your child. We are pleased to announce that our after-hours calls will now be handled by the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Nurse Advice Line.
The CHOA Nurse Advice Line is staffed by highly qualified registered nurses who use established pediatric protocols to assess your child’s symptoms, provide guidance, and help determine the appropriate next steps.
How to Reach the After-Hours Nurse Advice Line
Please continue to call our main office number at 678-646-0404. Your call will be answered by the All About Kids Pediatrics answering service and routed to the CHOA Nurse Advice Line. Our providers will continue to take calls when the CHOA nurse determines that additional medical assessment or guidance is needed.
After-Hours Fees
Please be aware that after-hours telephone services are not billed to insurance. The fee is the responsibility of the patient’s parent or guardian.
Calls handled by the CHOA Nurse Advice Line will incur a $35 fee.
If the CHOA nurse determines that further assessment by the All About Kids Pediatrics on-call provider is necessary, the total fee for the after-hours call will be $50 instead of $35.
If a parent or guardian requests to speak directly with the on-call provider without first speaking with the CHOA Nurse Advice Line, the total fee will be $50.
The $35 and $50 fees are not combined. The maximum fee for a single after-hours call is $50.
Your health insurance company may offer a nurse’s advice line at no additional cost, which you may choose to use instead.
Medication Policy
**Please note that ADHD medications and antibiotics will not be prescribed or called in after-hours under any circumstances. Medication requests must be addressed during regular office hours.
