Meet Our Board Members: Dr. Jana Renee Himmelbaum

We're proud to highlight Dr. Jana Renee Himmelbaum, a valued member of the Navigate Recovery Gwinnett Board of Directors.

Dr. Himmelbaum is a board-certified pediatrician and owner of Lake Lanier / Suwanee Pediatrics in Buford, Georgia. She has been caring for children and families throughout North Georgia since completing her pediatric residency in 2016.

She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine – Georgia Campus and completed both her internship and pediatric residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Dr. Himmelbaum is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.

As a lifelong Gwinnett County resident, Dr. Himmelbaum is passionate about preventive care, developmental health, and building strong partnerships with families to support lifelong wellness. Her commitment to serving children and strengthening families brings valuable perspective and leadership to our organization.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Himmelbaum enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. Together, they remain actively involved in the local community they proudly call home.

Meet Our Board Members: Rebecca (Becky) Weidler

We're proud to highlight Becky Weidler, a valued member of the Navigate Recovery Gwinnett Board of Directors.

Becky serves as the Director of Emergency and Trauma Services at Northside Hospital Gwinnett and Northside Hospital Duluth. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University, her Master of Nursing from Medical College of Georgia, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Mercer University.

During her 29-year career with Northside Hospital, formerly Gwinnett Medical Center, Becky has served in numerous clinical and leadership roles. Her experience supporting patients and families through medical, physical, and emotional crises brings valuable insight to our mission of recovery support and community wellness.

Becky is passionate about improving access to healthcare and reducing disparities in care. She actively participates in both hospital and community-based committees dedicated to serving those in need.

Outside of work, Becky enjoys spending time with her daughter, who attends Hebron Christian Academy, and their Boston Terrier. She loves outdoor activities with family and friends and is an avid reader.

Unfortunately, we’ve made the decision to cancel this year’s Co****le Tournament. We appreciate everyone who showed interest and support for the event.

But the good news is our Annual 5K is still happening and it’s coming up fast.

Join us on September 19 at Gwinnett (Coolray) Field as we come together to support recovery, community, and hope. Whether you walk, run, sponsor, or simply help spread the word, your support means a lot to us.
