Our residents enjoyed trying a new restaurant in historic downtown Lawrenceville! We visited The Peachtree Cafe and enjoyed specialty crepes, waffles, pancakes, and unique sandwiches. It was a delicious outing filled with great food and good company!

✨ July Resident Spotlight: Terry ✨

This month, we are excited to recognize Terry as our July Resident Spotlight!

Terry recently became a Resident Ambassador and was chosen for her gift of making new residents and staff feel welcome, helpful, and right at home. She is always eager to lend a hand with activities or any project that needs a little extra help.

Terry and her husband, Joe, moved to Laurel Grove a little over a year ago. She had previously moved to the area from Mississippi about 15 years ago to be closer to family. When it was time to downsize, Terry and Joe chose Laurel Grove for its warm and friendly atmosphere.

Terry's advice to others is to put God first and come out of your room to meet people, even if it's simply to sit and chat in the atrium.

A fun fact about Terry is that she has had a dog in her life since the day she came home from the hospital. She currently has a 2-year-old pup named Bernie, and yes, he is spoiled! 🐶

Terry is also an only child and has a special family story. Her mother was told she would never have children, but at age 43, she became pregnant with Terry.

And one more thing that makes Terry smile? She absolutely loves Santa Claus and Christmas! As Terry says, “When I grow up, I want to be Santa Claus.” 🎅

We are so grateful to have Terry as part of the Laurel Grove family and appreciate the warmth, kindness, and joy she brings to our community!

Our residents spent time in the kitchen making homemade corn muffins to donate to a local homeless shelter. 💛 It was a meaningful activity that brought everyone together to share their time, talents, and a little kindness with others in the community.

Creativity and a little patience came together during our acrylic puzzle craft! 🧩 The pieces were a bit challenging to put together, but everyone had fun creating their unique designs and enjoying the process along the way.
