Kimberly and Erin recently attended ADCES26, the annual conference of the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists— and they didn’t just go to learn. They went to SHARE their expertise!👏🏼
Both Kimberly and Erin were featured in a recent publication highlighting key sessions and insights from the conference.
💙 Kimberly shared her real-world expertise on helping patients succeed with insulin pump therapy. She talked about the many factors that have to be considered when choosing the right pump — from vision, hearing and dexterity to health literacy, lifestyle and a patient's ability to use the technology.
Her takeaway?
👉 The best pump is the one a patient will actually wear.
It's not just about technology. It's about finding the right technology for the RIGHT patient and providing the education and ongoing support to make it successful.
💙 Erin shared her expertise on today's automated insulin delivery systems and the different algorithms used by these technologies.
She discussed how diabetes teams can look beyond A1C and use information like time in range, insulin delivery patterns, automation, exercise and individual glucose trends to truly personalize treatment.
She also addressed some of the real-life situations our patients face — including exercise, pregnancy and the use of GLP-1 medications alongside insulin.
