Today was a special day at Rooted in Grace as we celebrated the graduation of Brian Davis and Lyle Goolsby.

These two men have incredible testimonies of God’s transforming power. What once looked broken has been redeemed through the grace of Jesus Christ. Their journey hasn’t been easy, but they continued to take one faithful step at a time, and today we had the privilege of celebrating all that God has done in their lives.

We’re proud of both of you, but even more than that, we’re excited for what comes next. Graduation isn’t the finish line. It’s the beginning of a new chapter of walking faithfully with Christ and living out the purpose He has for your lives.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate, pray, and encourage these men. Your support means more than you know.

Congratulations, Brian and Lyle. Keep your eyes on Jesus. The best is yet to come.

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6

Addiction doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t care about your age, your family, your income, or how “good” you are. It can happen to anyone.

The safest way to never become addicted is simple: never try it, not even once. One decision can change the course of your life forever.

Pray for those who are still fighting. Love them without excusing the addiction. And if you’re raising children, teach them that the best battle against addiction is the one you never have to fight. ❤️

Sometimes it’s hard to believe these are pictures of the same man.

Eric was the 10th resident to walk through the doors of Rooted in Grace.

On December 23, 2025, the day he was released from prison, he arrived with little more than a small box of belongings, a pair of sweats, and years of addiction, anger, and broken relationships. He barely spoke to his oldest daughter and had no relationship with his two youngest children.

Today, the story looks completely different.

He has graduated from the program.

He has a job. He has hope. He has a church family. Most importantly, he has grown closer to Jesus Christ.

But what moves me the most isn’t the job or the material things. It’s what God restored that money could never buy.

That’s why we do this.

Recovery isn’t just about getting sober.

It’s about families being restored.

It’s about fathers becoming dads again.

It’s about chains being broken.

It’s about Jesus making all things new.

Eric, we are incredibly proud of you. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of what God has done in your life. We can’t wait to see what He continues to do.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Please keep praying for the men at Rooted in Grace. Every man who walks through our doors has a story, and by God’s grace, every story can be redeemed.

Tonight looked a little different for Celebrate Recovery.

Instead of meeting inside, we took a break from our usual routine and headed to the city pool for free swim night! We spent time at the park playing basketball, cooled off in the pool, and just enjoyed being together.

A few people have asked us to make a list of things the center needs/uses so here it is! 😊

It definitely does not have to be the exact item or brand listed. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

We are not in need of laundry soap, dish soap, or dishwasher pods. We have those coming from a fundraiser!

Thank you to everyone who continues to ask how they can help and support the center. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

Note: Only 8 bed frames, and 3 mattress are needed for the new rooms we built.

I don’t know how fast your family goes through toilet paper… but imagine having 25 grown men in one building.

I’ll let you do the math.

We buy toilet paper and I swear we blink and it’s gone. At this point, I think they’re eating it.

So, if you ever want to donate to Rooted in Grace but have no idea what to bring……TOILET PAPER. Cleaning supplies. Then more toilet paper.

Seriously. You can never go wrong.

Send toilet paper. 🧻

To most people, getting a driver’s license is just another part of life. But for someone who’s rebuilding theirs, it’s a big deal.

Keep moving forward, God isn’t finished with your story yet.
