Breaking It Down: How Repetition Rewires the BrainðŸ§
The brain strengthens the pathways we use most often. When stress, trauma, or substance use repeatedly activates certain responses, those patterns can begin to feel automatic.
But the brain can also change. Each time you pause before reacting, use a healthy coping skill, reach out for support, or make a different choice, you begin strengthening a new pathway. With time and repetition, healthier responses can become more natural.
Change does not happen overnight, but every healthy choice gives the brain another opportunity to learn.
