Brave Girl, “In our darkest moments, we don't need solutions or advice. We simply crave the warmth of human connection. A gentle touch, a silent presence – these are the anchors that ground us when life's storms rage.

Don't try to fix me. Don't carry my burden or chase away my shadows. Instead, be the steady hand I can hold as I navigate my inner landscape. Sit with me in the quiet, bearing witness to my struggle without trying to change it.

My pain is my own to feel, my battles my own to fight. But your presence reminds me I'm not alone in this vast, sometimes terrifying world. It whispers that I'm worthy of love, even in my brokenness.

So when the night seems endless and I lose my way, will you simply be there? Not as a savior, but as a companion. Hold my hand until dawn breaks and I find my strength again.

Your silent support is the greatest gift you can offer. It's the love that helps me remember who I am, even when I've forgotten.” -Etheric Echoes

What if we brought it back home?

I’ve been thinking a lot about how easy it is to look outside of ourselves when something doesn’t feel good.

If they hadn’t done that…
If they would just listen…
If they would change…
If they really cared, they would…

I’ve done it too.

But one of the most freeing things I’ve learned is this:

I cannot control another person. I can only take responsibility for me.

That doesn’t mean someone else’s behavior is always okay. It doesn’t mean we tolerate disrespect, hurt, or unhealthy behavior.

It simply means I stop trying to control another human being long enough to ask:

What is this bringing up for me?
What am I afraid of?
What am I trying to control?
What do I actually need?
What outcome do I want to create?

Here’s a simple example.

Your partner makes plans to go out with friends, and something inside of you gets activated.

Reaction might sound like:

“Why can’t you just stay home?”
“You obviously don’t want to spend time with me.”
“If you cared, you wouldn’t go.”

But what if we brought it back home?

Maybe underneath all of that is:

I’m feeling disconnected from you.
I’m afraid I’m not important.
I miss you.
I need reassurance.
I want more intentional time together.

Now the conversation can become:

“I’m noticing this is bringing up some insecurity for me. I think what I really need is reassurance and some intentional time with you. Can we talk about that?”

Same situation.

Completely different conversation.

And look at what just happened.

I didn’t blame you.
I didn’t tell you what you were allowed to do.
I didn’t make you responsible for fixing my feelings.

I let you see me.

That’s vulnerability.

And vulnerability can take defensiveness out of a conversation because instead of coming toward someone with an accusation, we’re giving them an opportunity to understand what is actually happening inside of us.

There is something beautiful about being able to say:

“This is what I’m feeling. This is what I need. This is what I’m hoping to create with you.”

Clarity helps the people who love us navigate life with us. They don’t have to guess. They don’t have to read our minds. And we don’t have to build resentment waiting for someone to figure out something we never communicated.

They are still their own person.

They still get to choose.

And so do we.

Maybe today, instead of asking “Why are they doing this to me?”, try asking:

“What is happening inside of me, and what part of this can I take responsibility for?”

Not with judgment.

With curiosity.
With compassion.
With honesty.

Because bringing it back home isn’t about blaming yourself.

It’s about realizing where your power actually lives.

Awareness. Challenge. Change.

We Arrive With Roots 🌱

We don’t enter new seasons as untouched seeds.

We arrive with roots.

Roots from what we’ve lived through.
What we’ve been taught.
How we’ve learned to protect ourselves.
How we’ve learned to love.
And sometimes, how we’ve learned to survive.

I’ve been thinking a lot about gardens lately—and how healing might simply be learning to tend our own.

Because something is always being watered.

Sometimes it’s peace.
Sometimes it’s fear.
Sometimes it’s resentment, people-pleasing, comparison, or the need for someone else to tell us we’re worthy.

And eventually, we have to get curious about the fruit.

Do I actually want to keep growing this?

Maybe healing isn’t about becoming a perfectly manicured garden with no weeds.

Maybe it’s noticing the weeds sooner—and refusing to hate ourselves when we find one.

So today, come home to your own garden.

What are you watering?

What needs pruning?

What deserves more nourishment?

Who in your life tells you the truth while still handling your heart gently?

And what might finally have room to grow if you stopped pouring so much of yourself into something that no longer produces good fruit?

Don’t shame the roots.

Get curious about them.

You are allowed to tend them differently now. 🌱

We arrive with roots. But we still get to choose what we grow.

If your mama did not know how to love herself, or how to find the power within her bones.

If your papa did not know how to love himself, or find the voice within his heart.

Chances are high that you may not have been shown these tools, that the language of how to deeply care for, and be kind to your human experience was not shown to you.

And so the understanding of how to love your own being, is unknown.

But you have a choice; a chance to reweave the story, from silver threads of ancient knowing and a potent desire to be well.

You hold the ability to nourish your inner and outer landscape, by composting the old, into good soil for the seeds of your dreams, and for future generations to grow strong, in the richness of your powerful learnings.

You hold within you the love you so long for, allowing it to inhabit you, will allow it to seep into this world for those to come.

Come as you are. Bring your questions. Leave with hope.

What if? They told me there was a right way to do this life. A right way to parent. A right way to love. A right way to build a business. A right way to heal. A right way to believe. And for a long time, I tried. I folded myself into shapes that looked acceptable. I smiled when I wanted to ask. I no...

There are conversations that inform us, and then there are conversations that change us.

Today, I had the incredible privilege of sitting across from my daughter, Aspen, and simply listening.

Listening to her courage.

Listening to her truth.

Listening to the story that only she could tell.

As a mom, it’s easy to see your child’s accomplishments. But today wasn’t about celebrating achievements. It was about honoring the journey that shaped them.

We talked about anxiety, difficult decisions, and what it feels like to stand up for what you know is right—even when it means disappointing people you love. We talked about choosing faith over fear, trusting God when the path ahead wasn’t clear, and watching Him provide in ways neither of us could have imagined.

There were tears, laughter, moments of reflection, and so many reminders that God is always working, even when we can’t yet see the whole picture.

One of my favorite parts of this conversation wasn’t about changing schools, getting into Southeast Technical College, or the opportunities that followed. It was watching Aspen recognize the fingerprints of God that had been there all along—in the people who showed up, in unexpected provision, and even in the smallest details that reminded her she was never walking alone.

This conversation also reminded me that sometimes, as parents, one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is the space to find their own voice and the courage to follow where God is leading them.

If you’ve ever wrestled with fear…
If you’ve ever questioned a difficult decision…
If you’ve ever wondered whether God was really working behind the scenes…

I hope you’ll join us.

I believe Aspen’s story will encourage you as much as it encouraged me.

Thank you, Aspen, for your vulnerability, your courage, and your willingness to let others see not just where you’ve arrived, but how God faithfully walked with you every step of the way.

Sometimes the greatest testimony isn’t that life became easy.

It’s that God never let go of our hand. ❤️

Today on Lotus Chronicles, I had the honor of sitting down with my friend Sarah Kryger for a conversation that felt less like an interview and more like a gift.

We talked about healing, resilience, discernment, faith, and what it means to follow the quiet whispers of Spirit even when the path ahead isn’t fully clear. Sarah shared pieces of her journey with such honesty and courage, reminding us that our stories matter and that even our most difficult seasons can become part of something beautiful.

One of the things I love most about these conversations is being reminded that we are not alone. So many of us have experienced moments where we’ve been asked to trust, to surrender, to heal, or to take a step forward before we could see the entire staircase. Sarah’s story is a beautiful reminder that growth often happens in those very moments.

Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your heart, your wisdom, and the journey that led you to write Called by Spirit: Becoming Sarah. Your willingness to be vulnerable creates space for others to find hope, healing, and perhaps even the courage to listen more closely to their own calling.

If you missed the live conversation, I encourage you to connect with Sarah and learn more about her work.

There are some conversations that feel less like interviews and more like divine appointments.

This week on Lotus Chronicles, I have the honor of sitting down with my friend, Sarah Kryger, author of Called by Spirit: Becoming Sarah: A Spiritual Memoir of Light and Resilience.

Sarah’s story is one of courage, healing, forgiveness, and learning to trust the whispers of Spirit even when the path ahead isn’t fully visible.

In a world that often tells us to move faster, do more, and prove our worth, Sarah’s journey reminds us that sometimes the greatest transformation happens when we become still enough to listen.

Together, we’ll explore what it means to be called by something greater than ourselves. We’ll talk about discernment, healing from the wounds of the past, recognizing divine guidance, and finding the courage to follow where Spirit leads.

If you’ve ever felt a nudge on your heart…
If you’ve ever questioned your purpose…
If you’ve ever wondered whether those quiet whispers might actually be guiding you somewhere beautiful…

This conversation is for you.

Join us as we explore Sarah’s remarkable journey and the powerful lessons she learned while writing the story she was called to share.

Because sometimes the path to becoming who we were created to be begins with simply saying yes.

✨ Coming soon on Lotus Chronicles.

There are some conversations that stay with you long after they end.

This Thursday on Lotus Chronicles, I have the incredible honor of sitting down with my daughter, Aspen.

Many of you may remember a previous conversation where Aspen and I shared part of our journey together—how a broken relationship between mother and daughter found its way back to healing, grace, and restoration. That conversation touched so many hearts because it reminded us that God is still in the business of mending what feels impossible.

This conversation is different.

This time, Aspen shares her story.

A story of courage.

A story of standing up for what she knew was right, even when it was difficult.

A story of navigating anxiety, uncertainty, hard conversations, and the weight of disappointing people she loves.

A story of learning to trust God’s voice over the noise of expectations, opinions, guilt, and fear.

We’ll talk about the difficult decision to change schools, the opportunities that opened through the CTE program, dual-credit classes, internships, and her acceptance into her first-choice college.

But more than any achievement, we’ll talk about God’s faithfulness.

The ways He showed up when doors seemed closed.

The people He placed in her path.

The provision that arrived at exactly the right time.

And the little reminders that He was with her every step of the way.

As a mother, watching Aspen walk through this season has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I’ve watched her choose courage over comfort, faith over fear, and determination over doubt.

I hope you’ll join us Thursday as Aspen shares her truth, her journey, and the ways God has been writing a story bigger than she could have imagined.

Because sometimes the most beautiful stories aren’t about where we end up.

They’re about who we become along the way. ❤️
