Vincent Health serves the residents and visitors of Lake County and North America’s highest city of Leadville. Established in 1879 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas, the hospital has been in continuous operation since first providing care for the hardscrabble miners of early settlement days. Continuing the tradition of caring, the St. Vincent General Hospital District is opening a new state-of-the-art hospital to open in September, 2021.

"My mammogram experience at St. Vincent was great! It was easy, comfortable, and quick. The technician was kind and did an excellent job walking me through the procedure. My results were fast and the imaging itself was of exceptional quality. It's really so nice to have such a great (and needed) service in town instead of taking half a day or a full day off work for routine, preventative care." --Lisa Robinson

Just a few generations ago, diseases like polio, measles, whooping cough, and meningitis caused serious illness, lifelong disabilities, and even death for thousands of children and adults each year.

Fortunately, one of the greatest moments in medical history changed that story--the development of vaccines. During National Immunization Awareness Month this August, it's a perfect time to recognize this remarkable achievement—and the important role each of us plays in protecting ourselves, our families, and our community.

Did you know that St. Vincent Health Physical Therapy offers Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a treatment that healthcare providers use for pain and movement issues associated with myofascial trigger points. With this technique, a provider inserts thin needles into or near your trigger points. The needles stimulate your muscles, which causes them to contract or twitch. This helps relieve pain and improve your range of motion.

This service is available with cash-pay only. For questions, call 719-486-7180.
