Parasite Outbreak: What Patients on Biologics Should Know

If you're taking a biologic medication such as Xolair®, Fasenra®, Nucala®, or Tezspire®, it's important to stay informed, but not alarmed.

Biologics work by targeting specific parts of the immune system to help control asthma and allergic diseases. If you develop persistent or severe diarrhea, don't assume it's something that will simply pass.

✅ Your provider can determine whether additional testing for certain infections is appropriate based on your symptoms and treatment.
