On Juneteenth, we reflect on an important moment in our nation’s history and recognize the continued importance of equality and education to better provide orthopedic care to all those in our community.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African-Americans were informed of their freedom. Now recognized as a federal holiday, it serves as a time to reflect, continue learning, and move forward together.
