🌟 AFMA Board of Directors Nominations Open August 15!

Nominations for the Association of Family Medicine Administration (AFMA) Board of Directors open August 15 and close September 18 — and we have four Board positions beginning in 2027.

Serving on the AFMA Board is an incredible opportunity to give back to our membership, grow as a leader, and help shape the future of our organization.

🗂️ Board Member Responsibilities
(Approx. 6 hours per month)
• Chair an AFMA committee
• Attend monthly virtual board meetings
• Attend three in‑person board meetings each year

✅ Nominee Requirements

To be eligible, nominees must:
• Be an AFMA Member for the past 2 years
• Be currently working in Family Medicine with at least 3 years of experience
• Have served in one of the following roles:
– AFMA Committee Member
– TAGME Review Board Member
– Presenter at a RAD or the Residency Leadership Summit

📬 How to Apply

If you meet the requirements and would like to be considered for a Board position, please submit the following to Emmalyn Dyer, President‑Elect & Nominating Committee Chair, by September 18, 2026:

• A brief biography, including your contributions to AFMA (committee work, listserv engagement, etc.)
• Your CV
• Written approval from your Program Director and/or Direct Supervisor to serve a four‑year term
• A recent photograph (headshot preferred)
