Whether it's workplace resistance or simply a lack of time, implementing research takes more than just good intentions—it takes a solid strategy.

We keep our cohorts small to ensure every clinician gets the strategic support they need. There are still a few open spots for our three summer cohorts:

▪️Mondays at 12–1:30 PM CST, starting June 8th.

▪️Mondays at 12–1:30 PM CST, starting June 15th.

▪️Tuesdays at 7–8:30 PM CST, starting June 9th.

Choose a cohort that fits your schedule and secure your place here: https://theinformedslp.ac-page.com/ebp-irl. Enrollment closes on June 3rd.

[Visual description: Image text reads, "Implementing research takes more than good intentions—it takes strategy. We're here to walk you through it. Every SLP faces systemic hurdles. Some are easy to overcome. Others feel impossible. Real change happens when you find the strategy to move through the space in between. EBPirl helps you navigate that space. This 5-session live CE course is designed to help you: • Transform your approach to research implementation. • Overcome the friction of workplace resistance. • Build systems that keep your clinical momentum going. With active problem-solving. (Not passive learning!) • Implementation science tailored to your unique workplace. • Targeted assignments that address your specific barriers. • Practical tools you can use with your team right away. Connect with a community of like-minded SLPs. We keep the cohorts small so everyone gets the strategic support they need. It's a great opportunity to network, share ideas, and troubleshoot with other forward-thinking SLPs. And work alongside the expert. Natalie Douglas, PhD, CCC-SLP, who specializes in implementation science, will be leading the cohorts and providing the coursework. Plus, you'll earn credits! You'll receive 11.5 CE hours (1.15 ASHA CEUs) for completing the sessions and assignments. Ready to lead change? Join a cohort at the link in our bio. Enrollment closes June 3rd. "]

The stories that come out of our EBPirl cohorts are exactly why we do this. If you want to lead similar changes in your own setting, here's what you need to know about our summer cohorts:

▪️Five live, interactive sessions.

▪️Facilitated by Natalie Douglas, an expert in implementation science.

▪️Earn 11.5 hours of CE (1.15 ASHA CEUs) for participating.

▪️The cost is $195.

We keep groups small so everyone gets the support they need. You can choose from three available cohorts:

Mondays at 12–1:30 PM CST, starting June 8th.
Mondays at 12–1:30 PM CST, starting June 15th.
Tuesdays at 7–8:30 PM CST, starting June 9th.

Enrollment closes June 3rd. You can register here: https://theinformedslp.ac-page.com/ebp-irl

[Visual description: Image text reads, "EBPirl We're still buzzing over this story from one of our cohorts. Cohort 11, to be exact! A textbook example of implementation science in action. We had a very inspiring group overall. But we have to tell you about a duo from the United Arab Emirates. They attended together and went from being disregarded in their ICU to completely transforming their referral system. At the time, they felt disregarded and siloed in their ICU. Lung transplant patients were rarely, if ever, referred for SLP services. After attending EBPirl, and with a new spring in their step... They overhauled the entire referral process. Now, every lung transplant patient automatically receives a FEES before initiating a diet. Not only did they transform the referral system... They also made themselves known. They're being asked for their professional opinions much more often and best of all—they no longer feel siloed in their ICU. It was certainly not just EBPirl... It was timing and them taking the strategies and sprinting with it. But seeing this kind of reach across the world thrills us—and hopefully it gives you a boost, too! We hope you'll be our next success story! Join a community of changemakers at the link in our caption. Registration is open until June 3rd. "]

Supporting multilingual children isn’t about having all the answers. It's about knowing where to look, who to collaborate with, and how to approach assessment thoughtfully.

In our new free-to-share research review, “How to assess speech sounds in any language (whether you speak it or not),” we highlight free resources like McLeod's Multilingual Children's Speech website and new science on speech sound acquisition across languages. Let's hone our clinical skillsets and strengthen our partnerships with families of multilingual children!

As EI SLPs, sound words like “Moo! Baa! Vroom!” show up in our goals, our caregiver strategies, and our therapy on the regular. But do we ever wonder what the research says about their importance for early language development? We’ve synthesized the actionable findings from 6 research studies in our review “Click, clack, moo: The power of sound words in early language development” which offers:

-3 reasons why using onomatopoeia is helpful for language learning

-3 ways to use these noise words in therapy

-1 ready-to-go, printable caregiver handout

-9 minutes of CE

Luckily, we don't have to know how to spell “onomatopoeia” to integrate it into our evidence-based practice! Learn all about it at https://www.theinformedslp.com/review/Click-clack-moo-The-power-of-sound-words-in-early-language-development
