🎃🍂 A LITTLE KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY! 🍂🎃 A big shout-out to Jared and Jayla for taking the time to paint pumpkins for our residents who hadn’t gotten theirs painted yet! 🧡 They took time out of their day to make sure everyone had a chance to enjoy a little fall fun, and we appreciate their thoughtfulness so much! 🎨🎃 🌟 A SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO JAYLA! 🌟 Jayla comes every Saturday to volunteer her time and help out in ALL departments! ❤️ Her willingness to lend a hand wherever she is needed shows what a caring heart and a giving spirit look like. Volunteering your time and putting forth effort to help others is about so much more than lending a hand. It helps build character, strengthen morals, develop compassion, and teach the importance of responsibility and kindness. When we give our time to others, we show that making a difference doesn't always require money or grand gestures sometimes, it simply takes a little time, effort, and a willing heart. ❤️ We are so thankful for young people who are willing to serve others, make connections, and bring smiles to our residents' faces! Jared and Jayla, thank you for helping make our Manor feel a little more like home. 🏡🧡 Never underestimate the impact of a little kindness! 🍁🎃 ❤️

🌸🌼 Words to Live By: Celebrating the Boy Scouts! 🌼🌸 Today, our residents created beautiful flower arrangement centerpieces inspired by our Words to Live By Kind, Trustworthy, Friendly, Prepared, and Brave. 💐❤️ Today is also a special day as we celebrate the birthday of the founder of the Boy Scouts! 🎉 The Boy Scouts have spent generations teaching these very values and so much more. From showing kindness and helping others to being trustworthy, making friends, staying prepared, and having the courage to be brave, these are lessons that make a lasting difference in our world. ⚜️
Our residents enjoyed bringing these meaningful words to life through their beautiful floral creations, reminding us all that these values never go out of style and that it's never too late to live by them every day. 🌷
A little kindness, a friendly smile, a trustworthy heart, a prepared mind, and the courage to be brave can make the world a better place one person at a time! 💛🌼 💐⚜️

🎃🍂 A PERFECT FALL DAY AT THE PUMPKIN PATCH! 🍂🎃
Our Wilson Manor crew had the BEST day making sweet fall memories! 🧡 We enjoyed refreshing apple c***r slushies, delicious peach and apple pies, and took the cutest little pictures to remember our day! 📸🥧🍎 One of the sweetest parts was slowing down and watching the honeybees do their thing! 🐝🌻 Sometimes it’s the simple things, the fresh air, the laughter, and the time spent together that make the best memories! Our hearts are full, our bellies are happy, and we’re bringing home lots of smiles! 🧡🍁 There’s just something special about fall, and we sure know how to enjoy it at Wilson Manor! 🎃 🍂🧡

🍎🍂 Our 1st Fall Activity Bobbing for Apples! 🍂🍎
We kicked off our fall fun with a little Bobbing for Apples Wilson Manor style! 😂🍎 Our residents cheered each other on, supported one another, and had SO much fun trying to get those apples! The best part? Nobody got wet! 🙌😂 There were plenty of laughs, smiles, encouragement, and a whole lot of fall fun! ❤️🍂 I’d say our first fall activity was a HUGE success! 🍎🎃🍁

💖🎨 Dolly Parton Day at Wilson Manor! 🎨💖
We kicked off our Dolly Parton Day at 10:00 with a little creativity and a whole lot of color! 🌈 Our residents enjoyed making their very own “Coat of Many Colors” masterpieces using colorful colors, and plenty of imagination! 🎀✨ Just like Dolly’s famous song, every creation was unique and made with a little love. Our residents had so much fun bringing their artwork to life, and we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter way to start our day! And of course, we’re celebrating in true Dolly style, so don’t forget to wear pink or yellow today! 💕💛 🎶 Because life is always better with a little Dolly! 🤠💖

Teon is a healthcare administration and senior living professional with 30+ years of experience in clinical care, senior living operations, medical office management, staff development, and healthcare education. She's xperienced in leading teams, managing healthcare operations, supporting regulatory compliance, and developing staff training programs focused on quality and performance.

As a former healthcare administration instructor, Teon has brought real-world expertise in healthcare administration, medical office operations, billing, coding, and revenue cycle management to the classroom. With a Master of Healthcare Administration and as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Teon passionate about combining clinical knowledge, leadership, and education to strengthen healthcare organizations and improve the lives of those she serves.

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up our “Shining Through the Years” Assisted Living Week than with our very own RED CARPET FINALE! ⭐️❤️ And when I asked our residents who they wanted to entertain them for the big finale, there was NO hesitation… they ALL screamed:
🎶🎤 DEAN PATRICK!!! 🎤🎶
Dean has visited us several times before, and our residents absolutely LOVE him! So, of course, when they got to choose who they wanted to spend their big finale with, Dean was the name they shouted! 🥰
And let me tell you… he did NOT disappoint! 👏🔥 He had our residents singing, smiling, laughing, clapping, and enjoying every minute of the afternoon. He brought the music, the energy, and the good vibes we needed to send Assisted Living Week out with a BANG! 🎶💃🕺✨Dean, THANK YOU for always showing up and giving our residents such a wonderful time! ❤️ You have a special way of connecting with them, and it means so much that when they were asked who they wanted… they chose YOU! ⭐️From the red carpet, the smiles, the music, and all the memories made you helped make our finale one to remember! 🎤🌟We appreciate you, Dean Patrick! ❤️Until next time… keep shining! ✨ ⭐️🎤❤️

🌹✨ A SURPRISE FOR OUR LADIES! ✨🌹
We had one last-minute surprise during our Day Five Red Carpet Finale, and it was definitely one of those moments that makes your heart smile! ❤️ Our very own Jared, our Dining Room Attendant, decided ALL ON HIS OWN that he wanted to do something special for the ladies. 🥰🌹 So he made sure that EVERY woman at our red carpet event received a beautiful bouquet of flowers! 💐❤️ Jared didn’t do this because he was asked to. He did it simply because he wanted his residents to know how much he appreciates them. 🥹❤️ Jared truly loves his job, loves being our Dining Room Attendant, and most importantly, loves his residents. And today, he found a beautiful way to show them just how much they mean to him. 🌹
Watching our ladies light up when they received their flowers was the PERFECT addition to our red carpet finale! ⭐️📸💐 Jared, thank you for going above and beyond and for showing us that sometimes the sweetest moments are the ones that come straight from the heart. ❤️ Now THAT is what “Shining Through the Years” is all about! ⭐️✨ 🌹❤️⭐️

Shining Through History!
"Tea through Time" with the John Dickinson Plantation was a journey around the world, from the discovery of tea to today. This interactive program had us enjoying the different smells of tea, learning about the history of tea sets with samples from the museum, and viewing pictures shared throughout the program, all while savoring a variety of teas and sweets. A huge thank you for the well-thought-out program that kept us engaged... whether you loved tea or not!
