πΏ Celebrating International Women Chiropractors Day! πΏ
Today, June 5th, we honor International Women's Chiropractors Day, celebrating the birthday of Mabel Heath Palmer, affectionately known as the First Lady of Chiropractic.
Mabel Heath Palmer was one of the world's first female chiropractors, an educator, author, and pioneer who helped shape the future of our profession. Her contributions paved the way for generations of women to pursue careers in chiropractic care and serve their communities through natural, patient-centered healthcare.
Women have been part of chiropractic since the profession's beginnings in 1895, helping break barriers in healthcare at a time when opportunities for women in medicine were limited. From early trailblazers like Minora Paxson, who became the first person to hold an official state chiropractic license, to the thousands of women leading the profession today, their impact has been extraordinary.
Today, women represent more than half of the chiropractic workforceβa testament to the strength, dedication, and leadership of female chiropractors around the world.
πWe are grateful for the women who have shaped this profession, the women who continue to advance it, and the women who trust us with their families' health every day.
Happy International Women's Chiropractors Day! π
