As kids spend more time exploring trails, parks, and backyards this summer, remember: "Leaves of three, let them be."
Kristin Morgan, DNP, MSN, APRN, shares that for some people, poison ivy can trigger an allergic skin reaction. If contact occurs, wash the area promptly with soap and water. Ice, hydrocortisone cream, and antihistamines can help ease the itch.
