David was the Valedictorian of the 1988 graduating class of John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science in Nashville. Upon graduating he successfully passed the Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards National Board Exam and became licensed in 1988. He has been the Co-owner of Ligon & Bobo since November 1993. David and his wife Melani have two sons, Adam and John. He is a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, the Wilson County Fair Board, the Fiddlers Grove Foundation. He is a past member of the Wilson Bank and Trust Community Council.

Judith "Judy" Havens Mitchell

Mrs. Judith Havens “Judy” Mitchell age 85 of Lebanon passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Born in Long Beach, California, on January 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Paul Townsend Havens and Minnie Ellen Miller Havens. She was a 1959 graduate of Excelsior High School. A member of Life Point Church in Minden, NV, she was a homemaker.

On November 11, 1960, she married the love of her life Russell Young Mitchell, who after thirty-eight years of marriage preceded her in death in 1998. Also preceding her in death was her parents, Paul Havens and Minnie Havens Leming; sister, Linda Hendley.

Survivors include her four children: Cynthia Mitchell Drucker, Carrie Mitchell, Connie (Brian) Swanson, Christopher (Lisa) Mitchell; six grandchildren: Christian Mitchell, Garrett Mitchell, Pernilla (Noah) Palmquist, Jake Mitchell, Juliana Swanson, Isabella Mitchell; sister, Phyllis MacIsaac; brother, Morris (Lisa) Leming.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Lebanon. Her remains will be forwarded to Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, CA, to be buried beside her husband.

Frankie McCaleb Tomlinson

Funeral Service for Mrs. Frankie McCaleb Tomlinson will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 31, 2026, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Tim McCaleb officiating. Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Friday 11 A.M. until service.

Mrs. Tomlinson, age 95 of Lebanon passed away July 23, 2026, at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette.

Born September 12, 1930, in Gordonsville, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Willie and Molly Jones McCaleb. She was one of the first nurses to work for Dr. Sam McFarland at McFarland Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty four years, J. J. Tomlinson Jr.; two sisters, Fostyne Lain and Dimple Taylor; and four brothers, Benny, L.B., Nat and Bill McCaleb.

She is survived by three children: Ronnie (Kathy) Tomlinson, Donnie (Deanna) Tomlinson, and Betsy (Ricky) Calvert; six grandchildren: Shane (Jordan) Roberts, Jessie (T.C) Friday, Jeremy Tomlinson, Melanie (Scott) Townsell, Richard Tomlinson, and Wayne Clark Jr.; 13 great grandchildren.
