The world lost a true original on July 31 when Dawn Flint Clark left the earth for her eternal home in Heaven.
Dawn was born May 15, 1954, to Gladys Bloom and Eugene “Sy” Flint and she joined her sister Rhonda to complete their family.
She was a gregarious fun-loving person who lived life to the fullest, and on her own terms. She graduated in 1972 from JA Craig Sr High School in her hometown of Janesville WI. She held a variety of jobs in her life, most of which allowed her to enjoy her incredible social skills. She began as a Mary Kay consultant and eventually owned a restaurant with then husband Dave Halvorsen. If you went out to eat with Dawn, you would be aware that she had high standards for the service you should receive and would voice her opinion if that service was less that she expected.
She was an administrative assistant at a local church and appreciated the opportunity to interact with people that job afforded her.
In 2017, Dawn moved to Florida to be closer to her family and she loved living there! She got a position working at the Citrus Hills Golf Club and met many friends there who became family to her.
She was passionate about her home football team, the Green Bay Packers, and could be heard cheering them on from her Florida home all the way to Green Bay! Of her many pastimes was cracking jokes at the expense of the Packers fiercest rivals, the Chicago Bears. She had very strong ideas about how our country should be run and would be happy to share those with anyone who cared to listen.
She was a gracious hostess who loved for family and friends to come visit her in her home.
In 2019, Dawn was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and thus beginning her fierce battle with the disease. Her positive attitude and zest for living life never wavered.
Dawn will be dearly missed by her nephews Matt Green and David Green (Tiffany), grandnephews and nieces Connor Green, Landrea Vedder (Austin) and Austin Green, great-grandniece Adyline Vedder, her best friend Joyce David, many friends and cousins, and finally her precious cat, Phoebe.
Family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Brown Funeral Home in Lecanto, FL.
Her family would like to thank Dawn’s friends, Don and Linda Clayton for their loving care and their friendship that she cherished deeply.
