Paul Skenes is famous for sticking to a rigid routine between his start days. Before his start on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers at PNC Park, he did something a little bit different.
On the Pirates’ off day on Monday, Skenes spent more than two hours hanging out with local baseball players at Ingomar Franklin Park Little League.
Radio show “Mikey and Big Bob” on 96.1 KISS FM, which posted pictures and video, said Skenes was driving down Perry Highway in Wexford, saw the lights and just decided to pull in. Then the Pirates’ ace stuck around for two hours, signing autographs and playing catch with the kids.
