International Honor: Kirk Stierwalt Selected to Judge the Prestigious Melbourne Royal Show in Australia
MELBOURNE, Australia — Internationally respected cattle judge and educator Kirk Stierwalt, owner of Stierwalt Cattle and Clinics, has been selected to judge at the prestigious Melbourne Royal Show in Melbourne, Australia, held September 24–October 4, 2026. As part of this prestigious invitation, Stierwalt will evaluate the 2026 BioWorma Youth Heifer Feature Show and Showmanship, one of the Melbourne Royal Show’s premier youth cattle events.
The Melbourne Royal Show is one of Australia’s oldest and most respected agricultural exhibitions, attracting the nation’s finest cattle breeders and exhibitors while celebrating excellence in livestock, agriculture, and rural communities. An invitation to judge at Melbourne Royal is considered one of the highest honors in the international cattle industry.
For more than four decades, Stierwalt has educated youth and cattle producers through clinics across the United States, Canada, and abroad while judging many of North America’s premier state, national, and international cattle exhibitions. His work has influenced thousands of 4-H and FFA members, families, and cattle producers.
The Stierwalt family also operates a cattle business in western Oklahoma, producing competitive club calves and breeding cattle while remaining committed to developing the next generation of livestock producers through education, mentorship, and service.
While this recognition is a tremendous honor for Kirk, it is also a reflection of the dedication of the entire Stierwalt family. Kirk and his wife, Juli, have spent more than four decades building Stierwalt Cattle and Clinics into one of the nation’s most respected family-operated cattle businesses. From raising and marketing cattle to conducting educational clinics across North America and beyond, their mission has always centered on serving the livestock industry while investing in young people and the families who make it possible.
“This invitation is both humbling and exciting,” said Stierwalt. “Every judging assignment is an opportunity to serve exhibitors and the livestock industry. To be invited to Australia and evaluate some of their finest cattle is truly an honor. I look forward to meeting breeders and exhibitors from across Australia while representing the United States and the values our cattle industry stands for.”
Throughout his career, Stierwalt has earned a reputation for integrity, consistency, and practical cattle evaluation. His judging assignments and educational clinics have impacted thousands of families, making him one of the most respected livestock educators in the industry.
His selection is a source of pride for western Oklahoma and a testament to the international respect earned by American cattlemen, livestock educators, and the values they represent. It is also a recognition of the many 4-H and FFA families, breeders, and cattle producers the Stierwalts have served over the years.
As he prepares for Melbourne, Stierwalt carries with him the values that have guided his family’s operation—faith, family, integrity, hard work, and a commitment to helping the next generation succeed.
Kirk Stierwalt will represent the United States and the American cattle industry at the Melbourne Royal Show in Australia. His selection reflects a lifetime of dedication to the livestock industry and a family legacy built on service, education, and excellence.
