Dr. Bbua Chatkamon, โรงพยาบาล Krungthep, ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการผ่าตัดทวารหนัก A blog that celebrates good food, authentic living, and the importance of connecting with people you love around the table.

I believe that cooking is the greatest way to a healthy lifestyle...that flavorful food can be had on a budget...that the dinner table is the heart of the home...that conversation must not become a lost art...that there is no celebration too small for bubbly...that a home-cooked meal feeds more than just the body...that there's nothing like a dinner party to propel tomorrow's ideas, tonight's relationships, and maybe even inspire a little bit of music.

It’s been a minute since I posted an Easy Weeknight Dinner cooking video, but I just added a step-by-step video showing you how to make this simple (delicious!) summer pasta: Fusilli with Roasted Zucchini, Squash, Tomatoes, Eggplant, and Feta. ❤️ Feel free to mix up the veggies and type of cheese - dinner in 25 minutes! (I saved the recipe + video in my Highlights as well. 👆🏼)

Hi friends! Just wanted to tell you guys about a fun online cooking class I’m doing tomorrow with my good friend - we would love for you to join! ❤️ Megan and I have been cooking together for years - usually on our annual trips up to Leelanau Peninsula, north of Traverse City, MI, where she lives with her family. Megan has an INCREDIBLE garden and when she asked me if I’d like to do an online cooking class to teach her - and YOU! - how to prepare a few simple, seasonal vegetarian dishes from her garden, obviously my answer was yes! 😍

The class is at 12 PM EST Thursday, July 8 (should last about 1.5 hours). It’s only $5 to sign up and if you can’t make it live, you’ll have access to the video recording and will also receive 4 recipes 1-2 days after class. We are making:

-crudités + lemon-herb tahini dip
-pizza with spicy greens, lemon, & ricotta
-wheat berry salad with snap peas, radish, and feta
-simple green salad with fresh herbs and classic French vinaigrette

It’s going to be so fun and absolutely delicious! Sign up at ’s Insta page - also I’ll post the link in my stories! 🙌🏼

Story time. 💗 I’m not a gardener by any stretch (this is my second summer ever attempting to grow a small garden), but the life lessons I’ve learned in the process have been pretty incredible. One being: growth takes time. (And lots of sunshine, water, and patience!)

I love dahlias. Last summer I planted some seeds and they grew and grew and eventually bloomed in late summer. This spring, I was told to rip out all of the dead plants from last summer, put down compost, and to replant. I did as instructed, leaving only one plant that was still alive - I just wasn’t sure if it was a large w**d or my dahlia plant. I hated to risk ripping out what might be a dahlia, so I left it and replanted all around it. Well this thick-stemmed plant grew and grew and GREW until it was nearly 6 feet tall, with lots of leaves, but no buds. It was kind of an eyesore, honestly, and I was unsure what it would become.

Weeks passed, the rains came, and buds finally appeared. This week, the plant - which is indeed a dahlia - finally bloomed! And wow, was it worth the wait. The gorgeous flowers are all shades of pink (yes, Evie picked out the seeds!) and the beauty bursting from the ugly stalk reminded me that - not only does growth take time, but the process often doesn’t look the way we think it will. It was a good reminder to keep taking one step at a time, to accept the murky middle and the unknowing…because eventually beauty will burst forth. Often in the most surprising ways. 💗

All that to say: hang in there. We are all re-emerging from a long winter, a season of loss and grief. Know that none of that time was wasted: growth was happening the whole time underneath the surface, and so much beauty is about to bloom in your life. It just takes some time. 🙏🏼

Summertime berry-picking…one of my very favorite traditions with Evie and Gray. 🥰🍓 Though, admittedly, I’ve felt like I was drowning at times, having two littles home from school the past 15 months, I know I’ll look back and remember all the sweet memories we created. They’ll both be in school this fall (🙌🏼), so trying to savor all the moments we have together this summer…they’re growing up so fast! 😭 Check my stories for my more berry-picking pics AND a special Baking Therapy coming soon!

NYC. She’s as magical as ever, even in the rain, and even after a year+ pandemic. Grateful to spend a quick overnight there a few weeks ago with the fam, and can’t wait to return this fall (without kids!) to hug all the friends I didn’t get to see and eat all the delicious food I didn’t have time to eat. 😍 Until then!!

This may just look like a bathroom selfie. (And ok, it totally is. 😂) But it’s also capturing a moment in time, where - after 14 long months holding down the family fort, keeping my kids alive, loved, and well fed - I did something for me. I got up early, threw on a jumpsuit and put on some makeup (what?!) and went out for an early a.m. meeting for a project I’m really excited about. Can’t say more than that right now, but gosh it’s nice to get those creative wheels turning again. I’m smiling under that mask - smiling so big to think about a future that includes collaborations and gatherings and creativity and so many good things. ❤️

I recently had the privilege of doing a 2-day LifePlan with the amazing .dokun. (If you don’t already follow her, do so immediately - and subscribe to her newsletter and podcast for loads of wisdom and inspiration! She’s literally one of my favorite people.)

Chanel helped me put into words my life purpose: “I exist to curate a space for authentic connection through cooking and gathering people around the table.” For anyone who knows me, that’s no surprise - cooking and gathering people around the table are some of my greatest loves. However, she helped me really hone in on the other part of my calling: “to curate a space for authentic connection.”

That’s completely it. Whether I’m hosting a dinner party or teaching a cooking class or just writing an Instagram post, my goal is always to create a space for authentic connection to occur. I try and show up as my full, real self, so others can do the same. By being vulnerable, I hope someone else can breathe a sigh of relief and say, me too.

The other night, I hosted my first dinner party in 14 months. and I gathered a small group of (vaccinated) women around the yellow table to share a meal and our hearts. We talked about the concept of Transformation, and the ways in which we’d all changed over the past year. There was laughter, there were tears, and there were stories that made me hold my breath without even realizing it. The table became a safe space where we could all bare our souls. It felt sacred.

I’m not sure what’s next (I’ve got a few things up my sleeve!), but I am excited to keep leaning into my purpose: to keep cooking and gathering people around the table. And to keep curating a space for authentic connection. In this age of division and isolation, I want to keep using my table - and hopefully my Instagram page - as a bridge. To connect, not divide. To encourage and inspire. Thank you to those of you who have followed along on my crazy yellow table journey all of these years. ❤️ I mean it when I say: you all mean the world to me!! xx

Hosting my first dinner party in 15 months (!!) tonight with and these spring flavors and colors are making my heart so happy. 😍 We’re all vaccinated and having an indoor-outdoor gathering with lots of fresh air - I’m so beyond grateful that I can *finally* safely host loved ones around my table again. 😭❤️🙏🏼

I think one of the most beautiful things about dear friends are their ability to remind you who you are when you forget. ❤️ Last year was a year that, in the blur of pandemic parenting and social isolation, I found it hard to remember, sometimes, who I was outside of mom/short-order cook/housekeeper.

For my birthday last month, several of my girlfriends gave me one of the most special gifts I’ve ever received. They each chose a word to describe me, and then hosted a surprise party (over Zoom since we are scattered around the country) where they each told me the word they’d chosen and why. 😭💕 It was both encouraging and incredibly humbling, as many of these are not words I would use to describe myself.

Then, the amazing (who also taught us a special calligraphy class during our Zoom party!) wrote out the words on a canvas, and my friends had it framed and sent it to me. ❤️

Now this sits above my desk as a beautiful reminder of who I’m meant to be. Of how some of my friends already see me. And of how blessed I am to have friends who love me in my best and worst moments.

I share this to encourage you to tell a friend today what they mean to you. How you see them. Your words hold more power than you know. ❤️

If there’s one thing that this pandemic year taught me, it’s this: I can’t do it all. Not even close. After 1+ year of the kids being with me all.the.time, I felt like I was drowning in the constant mess of toys and laundry and STUFF. It was overwhelming. (If anyone’s mastered the art of decluttering and tackling organization projects with small kids underfoot, I applaud you...because I definitely haven’t!)

After believing the lie for far too long that I *should* be able to keep my home clean and organized, while being a full-time mom/teacher to a 3- and 5-yr old AND maintain some semblance of a career, I finally realized: I NEED HELP!!!

So I called in the incredible ladies at to help bring some order to the chaos. They helped me organize my kitchen last year and it was a dream come true. ❤️ This time, they helped me organize the kids room/closet + playroom to both encourage independent play AND make cleanup easier for the kids and me. And OMG I’m over-the-moon excited. Their work is just incredible - they are like fairy godmothers, making what was a black hole of clutter feel soothing and calm. Swipe for before and after pics of the kids’ room - more in stories!! (And if you live in the Nashville area and need organizing help, I cannot recommend Leigh and her team enough!! 🙌🏼)
