On February 24th, Dee's 17-year-old son Zeke, was involved in a catastrophic accident that led to him being urgently flown to Primary Children's Hospital. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, he tragically could not overcome his injuries and passed away. This has been a devastating tragedy for Dee and her family, turning their world upside down.

This loss is unfathomable. No parent should ever have to endure the heartbreak of losing a child twice in their lifetime. Dee is facing a level of devastation that is hard to comprehend. During this incredibly difficult time, her friends and community are coming together to offer support in any way we can.

We are initiating this GoFundMe to assist Dee and her family with the financial burdens that have suddenly fallen upon them. The funds raised will help cover medical expenses, funeral costs and any unforeseen expenses that arise as they navigate through this period of mourning and adjustment.

In moments like these, the power of community is more important than ever. Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in alleviating the financial stress on Dee and her family during this period of immense grief. Together, we can help provide them with the support they need to focus on healing and remembering the life of their sweet and incredible Zeke.
