CEO Paige Laughlin was proud to attend the Building Signing Ceremony celebrating the transfer of a new facility from the Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres to The Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties.

Presided over by Lee County Board Chair Cecil Pendergrass, this special occasion marked more than the transfer of a building—it celebrated a new chapter filled with service, hope and community impact.

Sometimes the best way to understand someone’s work is to walk alongside them.

Our senior team recently had the privilege of participating in Walk in Your World, spending time with colleagues across several different roles and seeing firsthand what their day looks like.

It gave us the opportunity to see, learn, listen, and help—to better understand what’s working, where there are challenges, and how we can better support the people who do incredible work every day.

Thank you to each of our team members who welcomed us into their world and shared their time, knowledge, and experiences with us. We learned a lot, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you.

🧠 Celebrating Better Stroke Care—and Building a Healthier Community

Following our recent designation as a Primary Stroke Center, HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital was proud to bring together members of our community, area healthcare colleagues and hospital staff for an educational event focused on stroke awareness and prevention.

Over a healthy lunch, attendees learned about ways to reduce their risk of stroke, how to recognize the warning signs and why seeking care quickly can make such an important difference.

When it comes to stroke, every second counts. Remember to BE FAST:

🐾 Meet the four-legged friends making a meaningful difference for patients, caregivers and families. This National Dog Day, we’re celebrating them and the joy they bring every day.

Facility and therapy dogs are valued members of our broader HCA Healthcare family. W***y, the beloved pup shown here, is one of them.

These specially trained companions can brighten someone’s day and may help reduce stress, anxiety and feelings of isolation. Some even have their own badges and earn anniversary pins for their years of service.

The benefits of dogs go beyond clinical settings. Pets can offer unconditional love, comfort and companionship — and encourage us to move more.

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is pleased to welcome Luke Henry as our new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Luke brings more than 11 years of experience with HCA Healthcare and most recently served as assistant chief nursing officer at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. His extensive clinical and operational leadership experience includes emergency services, trauma and critical care, stroke care and hospital operations.

“Luke’s broad leadership experience and wealth of knowledge will support our continued commitment to clinical excellence and operational success,” said Paige Laughlin, CEO of HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital.
