Grilling season is here for most people and with that comes cleaning the grill! Most grill cleaners are packed with harsh chemicals… but you can clean your grill naturally with a few simple ingredients instead.

What You’ll Need:
• 1 cup cleaning vinegar
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/4 cup baking soda
• 10 drops Lime essential oil
• 5 drops Thyme essential oil

How To Make:
Add vinegar and water to a spray bottle, then slowly mix in the baking soda. Add the essential oils and shake well.
Spray onto grill grates, let sit for a few minutes, then scrub and rinse clean.

Cuts through grease, smells fresh, and skips all the unnecessary chemicals.

Summer sunshine feels amazing… but what you put on your skin matters just as much as soaking up those rays.

A lot of conventional sunscreens are loaded with ingredients that raise concerns for both our bodies and the environment. Certain chemical UV filters can be absorbed into the bloodstream and have been linked to skin irritation, hormone disruption, and other unwanted effects.

Some of the most talked-about ingredients include oxybenzone, octinoxate, homosalate, octisalate, octocrylene, and avobenzone. Many people are now choosing to avoid them altogether and are looking for cleaner, mineral-based options instead.

That’s why more families are switching to mineral sunscreens that sit on top of the skin rather than being heavily absorbed into it. One option we’ll be diving into next is the doTERRA Sun line, which was created with safer sun care in mind.

Such good info!

Pest-repelling plants can help, but they’re not magic 🌿 A few ways I use them:
🌼 Marigolds and nasturtiums are easy to tuck around vegetable beds for extra color and diversity.
🌿 Basil near tomatoes and peppers is one of my favorite kitchen garden pairings.
💜 Lavender and rosemary like sunny, well-drained spots, so I don’t plant them where the soil stays wet.
🌱 Mint is useful, but I always keep it in a pot because it spreads fast.
🧄 Garlic and chives are great around garden edges, especially if you already use them in the kitchen.
I think of these as part of a healthier garden setup, not a guarantee that pests will disappear overnight 🌱
