Betty Ann “Skeeter” Williams of Etowah, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, June 12, 2026. She was born on October 1, 1955, to the late Troy Wilbur and Bobbie Jean Waltrip Langston in Osceola, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Leamon Williams and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are, her two daughters: Jill Beach of Manila, Arkansas and Cori Connell of Etowah, Arkansas, two sisters: Debbie Betterton of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Terry Jo LaRue of Marion, Arkansas, aunt: Betty Carter “Hackey” and husband, Ray of Gallatin, Tennessee, four grandchildren: Micah Beach, Carson Connell and wife, Raven, Luke Beach and Cohen Connell, three great grandchildren: Knox, Rori and Nova, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Skeeter was a devoted mother whose greatest joy in life was her family, especially her two daughters. She loved them deeply and would do anything for them. Affectionately known as “Mama Skeet” by her grandchildren, she treasured every moment spent with them and created memories they will cherish forever. Full of laughter, she had a joyful spirit that brightened the lives of those around her. A faithful Christian, she loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. She taught Sunday School and played piano at church for many years. In her spare time, she found joy in crafting, sewing, and painting. Her kindness, faith, sense of humor, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
The family welcomes you to come celebrate the life of Skeeter at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. and visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. til service time.
Burial will follow at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah, Arkansas.
Brother Patrick Tucker will officiate the service.

Troy Sylvester Brown, 78, of Lepanto, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, June 11, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas Troy was born on November 8, 1947, in Victoria, Arkansas, to Harden Edward Brown and Geraline Moore Brown He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Billy Ray Brown, James Edward Lee Brown, Orville Gene Brown, Benny Lee Brown, and Bobby Ray Lloyd Brown; and one sister, Mary Alice Brown. Troy is survived by one brother, Douglas Edward Lee Brown of Trumann, Arkansas; three sisters, Linda Faye Hamm of Cave City, Arkansas, Brenda Kay Brown of Trumann, Arkansas, and Sharon Kay Daniels of Trumann, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends Troy enjoyed fishing, tinkering with things, riding his scooter, hanging out at the gas station, telling jokes, and sharing stories of his younger days. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Wanda Lacy, 85, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in Osceola, Arkansas. She was born on August 22, 1940, in Dyess, Arkansas to Clay May and Allie Bishop May. Wanda was a teacher for 40 plus years, and she taught at West Memphis High School and Lepanto High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Lonnie Lacy, two sons: Whitney Lacy and Warren Lacy, four brothers, three sisters and one grandson: Dillon Lacy.
Wanda is survived by her daughter in law: Amy Lacy of Lepanto, Arkansas, three grandchildren: Hannah Ashabranner (Kyle) of Manila, Arkansas, Seth Lacy of Lepanto, Arkansas and Brody Lacy (Harley) of Lepanto, Arkansas, five great grandchildren: Haelyn Smith, Owen Ashabranner, Whitney Lacy, Clay Lacy and Walker Lacy, her dear friend: Sue Truelove and a host of other family and friends.
There will not be any services at this time.

Hector Carmelo Cruz Ramirez, 62, of Dyess, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born on July 16, 1963, to Gregorio Cruz and Juventina Ramirez in Totolcingo, Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother: Jose Guadalupe.
Hector is survived by his wife of forty-four years: Maria Guevara of the home, four children: Janet Cruz (Ricardo) of Mexico, Viviana Cruz (Alfredo) of Dyess, Arkansas, Hector Cruz of Dyess, Arkansas, and Alina Cruz (Phillip) of Dyess, Arkansas, three brothers: Miguel Cruz, Angel Cruz and Armando Cruz, three sisters: Herminia Cruz, Olga Cruz, and Veronica Cruz.
Funeral Services will be held at Delancey Funeral Home on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. til service time.
Burial will be held at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Robert Donald Vaughn Jr., 66, of Memphis, Tennessee, departed this life on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in Bartlett, Tennessee. Robert was born on January 8, 1960, in Lepanto, Arkansas, to Robert Vaughn Sr. and Brenda Anne Noblin. He attended the Bartlett Church of Christ and was known as an avid outdoorsman and talented fabricator. Robert enjoyed listening to 1980s music, watching old westerns, and spending time talking with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Robbie Anne Vaughn. Robert leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Jayme Hammond (Josh) of Huntsville, Alabama; his sister, Robin Rolland (Tim House) of C**t, Arkansas; his companion, Debbie Cates of Brownsville, Tennessee; and his beloved grandchildren, Cheyenne Hammond and Joshua Hammond, both of Huntsville, Alabama. He is also survived by his niece and nephew fur babies, Miss Claira Belle and Parker Lane. Carline Virginia Roark, 93, of Lepanto, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at her home. Carline was born on August 20, 1932, in Manila, Arkansas, to Carl Freeman and Callie Rollins Freeman. She attended the Etowah Pentecostal Church of God for 40 years. Carline was a caregiver to everyone she met. She was a loving mother and nanny to all her grandchildren and was dearly loved by all who knew her.

Carline is survived by her son, Gary George (Dianne) of Newport, Arkansas; stepsons, Gary Roark of Keiser, Arkansas, and Clifford Roark of Lepanto, Arkansas; sisters, Shirley Adams of Manila, Arkansas, Betty Rogers of Lepanto, Arkansas, and Diane Riley (Cecil) of Monette, Arkansas; son-in-law, Skeeter Rash of Lepanto, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Mary George of Lepanto, Arkansas; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one beloved fur baby, Mitzi.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Junior George and Herman Roark; one son, Jimmy George; one daughter, Donna Rash; brothers, Bobby Freeman, Sonny Freeman, and Jim Freeman; and one sister, Bonnie Hobbs.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Delancey Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Coffeyville Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home.

Junette Steakley Gist, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Cedarhurst Senior Living in Wentzville, MO. She was born in Houston, Arkansas on June 30, 1932. She was
preceded in death by her parents B.F. and Mamie Steakley of Lepanto, Arkansas; her 7 siblings; and her husband Harold Gist.
She is survived by her son Jon (Debbie) Wingo of Wentzville, MO; grandsons Jonathan (Ashley) Wingo of Wentzville, MO and James Wingo of Kansas City, MO; and great grandsons Jace, Jameson, Jack, and Jacob Wingo who knew her as “Grandma June.” She was loved dearly by many, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Junette described herself as a “child advocate.” She was passionate about educating young minds. She began her teaching career in a rural school teaching a combined first and second
grade room in Deering, Missouri before moving to Montana. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Great Falls, Montana in 1958 and taught grades 4, 5, and 6; earned her Master’s degree from Arkansas State University in 1969, and her principal’s certification from UMSL in St. Louis, Missouri. She began her Hazelwood School district career as a reading specialist at Bonfils Elementary then became an instructional specialist at Charbonier School in 1971. In 1976, she became the Hazelwood School District’s first female elementary principal serving at
Charbonier School, later becoming Lawson Elementary. She left Lawson in 1980 and finished her career retiring from Townsend Elementary as principal in 1992. She was always an active
supporter of the Hazelwood PTA Council Scholarship Run/Walk earning top fundraising awards and taking numerous 1 st place trophies in her age category, the last one in 1988 at 56 years
old. Junette’s passions were family, animals, gardening, and history. She was involved in her subdivision Garden Club and volunteered as a docent at the St. Louis Kaplan-Feldman Holocaust Museum. She was well known for her pet sitting activities as well as her love for her songbirds. She received many hours of peace and comfort watching and feeding her birds out on her back deck, just observing the beauty of nature and reading hundreds of books about a
multitude of subjects, especially history. The stories and memories of her long and successful life will be with us for many years to
come.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Potter Memorial Cemetery, Lepanto, Arkansas , and a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. at Delancey Funeral Home, Lepanto.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.

Drake Alan Malone, 31, of Lepanto, Arkansas was born on October 21, 1994 to Timothy Lee Malone and Jana Jo Tacker Malone in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Pawpaw, Leroy Malone, Jr, and Whitlee’s sweet baby.
Drake is survived by his mother: Jana Jo Tacker Malone of Lepanto, his father: Tim Malone (Kellie Allen) of Lepanto, sister and best friend: Whitlee Laine Malone of Lepanto, Grandparents: Cletus and Judy Tacker of Lepanto, grandmother: Janet Malone of Tyronza, uncle: Paul Malone (Mitzi) of Lepanto and Cletus “Trey” Tacker, III of Heth, aunts: Teresa Harris (Percy) of Osceola and Stephanie Tacker Pritchett of Brooklyn, many cousins, hunting buddies,
family and friends.
Drake had the biggest heart. He loved his family, especially his dogs, which he trained to retrieve and hunt. His hunting and fishing ability came naturally. He spent a lot of time preparing places to hunt with his dad, grandpa’s, uncles, cousins, and friends. He would do anything to help his family and friends. Since Drake was a kid, he worked alongside of his Big Daddy, traveling to farm auctions, learning the trade, and hauling back farm equipment to be sold. He will always be remembered for telling the best stories. They were always funny and true. His happy place was being in the outdoors.
In remembrance of Drake, please feel free to wear your hunting attire to his service and bring your turkey and duck calls for his final farewell.
A Memorial service will be held Sunday, May 24, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Lepanto at 3:30 p.m. and visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until service time.
Brother R.J. Platz and Brother Chase Langley will officiate the service.
