Residents received their very own passports and Swedish flags, sampled genuine Swedish cuisine, and learned all about the country from our special guest, Chris from OhioHealth. As a native of Sweden, Chris brought authentic Swedish goodies, stories, and firsthand knowledge that made the experience extra special. 💙💛

Our mornings are full of music, movement, and lots of smiles! 💃🕺 Dr. Dance came by and had everyone up on their feet, dancing, laughing, and having an absolute blast together. What a fun way to start the day! 🎶✨ Colleen even put on her dancing shoes and showed us a few salsa moves! ❤️

🏈❤️ Buckeye Tailgate 🩶

Yesterday, we brought the game day spirit to The Avalon with our Ohio State vs. Texas Tailgate Party! Jim from Maintenance fired up the grill, our Executive Director Lynn helped serve up all the delicious food, and our friends from VITAS and Angels joined in on the fun!

We even had a very special visitor, Brutus the Buckeye! Residents loved getting into the Buckeye spirit, enjoying great food and company, and ending the celebration with a raffle!

Best of all, all raffle proceeds went toward our Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraising efforts. 💜 Every ticket purchased helped support a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the afternoon so special. Great food, Buckeye pride, wonderful company, and giving back. that’s what community is all about!

A little dirt, a lot of creativity, and something beautiful to take home! 🌿🪴 Today we decorated our own pots and filled them with colorful mums and houseplants. Everyone added their own special touch, making each creation as unique as the person who planted it. 💕🌼 We can’t wait to watch them grow!
