Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plan Patients Seeking Weight Loss Injections - Important Update.

Following the implementation of new rules on July 1, 2026, Prior Authorization remains a requirement for weight loss injections. It's essential to note that Prior Authorizations are not processed daily, resulting in a delay between prescription and approval. We appreciate your understanding and kindly request that you do not contact the office or individual staff members directly if you've recently received a prescription. We receive notifications through Covermymeds.

Also, if your PA gets approved you are still responsible for the $50.00 copay per the Medicare program.

Plan smart! The on-call person's last vacation was basically a workday with a beach view for all the refill requests that she received. For real emergencies, call 911 or hit the ER.

Important details are listed at the bottom of the flyer😁. We appreciate your assistance in sharing this information on Facebook. During our absence next week, if you feel like you are having an emergency, please contact 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room. If you call the office next week, just leave a voicemail. It will be checked periodically throughout the week. If we feel like it is something that needs to be addressed then someone will call you back, otherwise we will contact you the week we return. Please do not call or text the personal cellphones as again, we are on Vacation with our families.
